Natural Balance LID Info

I would like to transition my cat to LID dry food. She has a wheat allergy and most foods seem to have wheat or barley, or corn, which I'm not crazy about either. She is on a diet though, and I can't seem to find calorie content information anywhere online for Natural Balance LID foods. Their website is down as well.
Does anyone know where I could find calorie info about NB LID foods?

You have tried emailing them and asking, correct? If not, do that.

I had to contact them to get the calorie content info of their canned LID cat food. They responded with this info.

Hi howard18 I realized that I have a bag of Natural Balance LID (Green Pea & Duck Formula) here at the house and can look for you. However, the bag doesn't say anything about calories. Which I find odd, but never noticed until now.

What it does say:

Guaranteed Analysis
Crude Protein - 30.0% (minimum)
Crude Fat - 12.0% (minimum)
Crude Fiber - 4.0% (maximum)
Moisture - 10.0% (maximum
Taurine - 0.16 % (minimum)
Omega-3 Fatty Acids - 0.4% (minimum)
Omega-6 Fatty Acids - 2.6% (minimum)

The only other possibly helpful info besides the ingredients is the feeding guidelines, which show the weight of the cat and the serving size.
2-4 lb cat = 1/8 - 1/4 cup
5-9 lb cat = 1/4 - 2/3 cup
10-14 lb cat = 3/4 - 1 cup
15 - 20 lb cat = 1 - 1 3/4 cup
And it says that they use a standard 8-ounce fluid measuring cup to measure with.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I figured I'd give you what I had. I would say that if you can't get the info you need off their website as it's down, I'd try to give them a call. I've had to call many cat food companies over the past few years to find out certain things, and most have been very helpful. Good luck!

I just looked over my bag of NB Green Pea & Chicken - I don't see calorie content on the bag. I may be missing it, though.

I would email them - wait for the website to come back up - they're really good at getting back to you. I've emailed them a couple of times and they've responded promptly and thoroughly.

That or call them... I found them to be slow on the email back ( most companies reply within 12-24 hours ... NB was about 72)

Have you consiered Royal Canin/ Blue Buffalo/Blue Wilderness instead? I just went through a horrible experience with my dog Macy suffering from food poisioning as a result of feeding the Natural Balance LID brand. She is just now getting back to normal as a result of it; it really took a toll on her little body. I got the vetrinarian involved as soon as she showed symptoms (food poisioning was confirmed), and I have contacted the Natural Balance company concerning it. After Macy's incident I did a little research and discovered other cases of animals becomming ill after their owners fed that specific brand. I just felt the need to caution you; I woundn't want another beloved furbaby to go through what Macy went through.

Royal Canin is an excellent alternative and they have a ton of different formulations to choose from (including limited ingredient diets as well- this link has a list to numerous products on their site as well as the ingredients listed in them http://www.royalcanin.us/cats/Veterinary_Diets.aspx )

Good luck!!

^Wasn't that a canned lamb variety, though? It's possible that their wet food plant could have (or had) problems and that their dry is fine. They would not be made at the same pet food plants - the specialized equipment for making each and the space needed just doesn't really allow it.
I hope the company has worked with you concerning the medical bills.

Did Natural Balance not just have a recall on their dog food? I do seem to recall posting a notice at the clinic where I work.

I personally, would never feed any of my pets Royal Canin products. No offense, just my personal opinion. After my dog had crystals, she was supposed to eat Urinary SO, so I ordered a case of 24 cans. Well, I didn't find any meat in the food! I've not been impressed with any of their other products either. Check out Natures' Variety, they have single source proteins like Venison, Duck, Lamb, Rabbit, Chicken and Beef. They don't have all the questionable by-products, glutens, corn, etc.

Thanks for all the input everybody. Before I called the company, I needed to pick up a new bag of food. I picked up a 5.5 lb bag of Blue Longevity. It seems like a nice fish-based food, not overly rich, with calorie info right on the bag. Barley is an ingredient but it is pretty far down the list. Here are the ingredients for any interested parties:

Deboned Whitefish, Salmon Meal (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Whole Ground Brown Rice, Menhaden Fish Meal (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Peas, Chicken Fat (naturally preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid), Oatmeal, Whole Ground Barley, Eggs, Potatoes, Natural Fish Flavor, Oat Bran, Carrots, Spinach, Broccoli, Tomatoes (natural source of Lycopene), Apples, Cranberries, Blueberries, Flaxseed (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), Barley Grass, Turmeric, Rice Bran, Dried Kelp, Yucca Schidigera Extract, Alfalfa, Parsley, Salt, Sunflower Oil (natural source of Omega 6 Fatty Acids), Salmon Oil (natural source of Omega 3 Fatty Acids), L-Lysine, Taurine, Beta-Carotene, Vitamin A Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Niacin (Vitamin B3), d-Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B5), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Biotin (Vitamin B7), Folic Acid (Vitamin B9), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Calcium Ascorbate (source of Vitamin C), Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Iron Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Iron), Zinc Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Zinc), Manganese Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Manganese), Copper Amino Acid Complex (source of Chelated Copper), Cobalt Proteinate (source of Chelated Cobalt), Sodium Selenite, Calcium Iodate, Black Malted Barley, Choline Chloride, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bacillus subtilis, Enterococcus faecium, Rosemary Extract

For a fish formula it is solid
