Cat ignoring hubby after deployment

We need some Help! Trooper, our 10 year old kitty, has always been my hubby's cat. He followed him around the house, slept on his lap every chance he got and slept on him at night.

My hubby is in the Air Force and has deployed many times before, generally 3 months. Trooper always punished him for a little while and then would go right back to normal.

This time my husband has been back for over 3 months and Trooper still won't have anything to do with him. He goes to hubby when he can see a spot of the bottom of his food bowl but that's about it. He walks past him to sit on my lap and no matter how many times I put him on hubby's lap he refuses to stay and goes right back to my lap. He won't cuddle at night and sleeps on me.

I don't know if it matters, but while hubby was gone we moved to a new house....but we were settled in the new house for 1.5 months before hubby returned.

What should we do?!?!?!?!?!

Have your DH be the only one to feed and play with him.

Well, hmmmm....I think it might be a matter of time, even though it's been 3 months. Are you letting him (the cat) sleep on an old sweaty, icky, dirty shirt of your DH's? That might help, too.
