Three months ago I started a slow, gradual switch to grain free dry and wet food (Blue Buffalo Healthy Aging dry and Wellness canned). Since then Rocky (age 12) has lost a pound (down to 14 lbs.). He's got a lot more energy and his fur has a nice sheen to it. He's initiating play more often and is much more active. There have been no changes in water consumption or bathroom habits. The only difference is that he's not eating nearly as much food as he used to, but still has a good appetite.

Just to be on the safe side, the home visit vet is coming over tomorrow to do a full exam and senior blood screen. Hopefully I'm needlessly worrying, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Any spare vibes would be appreciated!

The vet just left after drawing two vials from his jugular vein; it went really fast. I should have the results tomorrow.
