Where do you put your cat's litter box?

I'm wondering where do you place your cat's litter box. Mine is currently on the terrace at the back of the house, but sometimes I can see that Charlie is pooping on my plants...

Where is the best place to put it?

Everywhere lol.

Some in cats garage room, living room, bedroom, sunroom. seems to be working as not many accidents(one who would rather go on puppy pads so she does...if the pads not down she goes in its spot)

Ours is down stairs on top of an old desk. So dogs can't get in it.

Ours is in the basement.

A back room behind a baby gate and living room behind a couch.

In the bathroom, utility room, living room and bedroom.I have dogs, too,so I switched to plastic totes and cut the entrance out in the lid.It has worked out for us extremely well.

The basement bathroom my nephew would get into it otherwise.

I Live in a tiny 1 br apartment, so I don't have many choices...
2 in the end of the hallway, 1 in the bathroom.

I have one in each bathroom.

One is in the master bathroom closet (we removed the closet door) and the other one is in an empty spare bedroom. We may move the spare bedroom one to the basement later if Jinkers ever figures out it is OK to use the one in the bathroom...

My mom had a litterbox in her kitchen and I just couldn't handle that I have never felt that I wanted the litter box in the kitchen.

I keep one big one in my computer room here, with the 2 babies and the old boy,i clean it 3 times a day, also have a room deoderizer left open on a shelf as well.It is the easiest spot for me as i spend a lot of time in here.

I have two in the pantry for two cats. I don't know what I am going to do when we get our kitten, I'll have to put a third one somewhere.

I have a spare bedroom with no furniture except 2 dressers, so it's the "cat room" with 4 litter boxes lined up against one wall.

I had to put a baby gate up to keep Harley out (my greyhound) so it's attached to the wall at about 10 inches off the ground so the cats can go in but keeps big doggie out. They have a small cat tree in the room too (the other cat tree they rarely play with).

Two in the study, that way the dogs cant get to them. In my old house I had one behind the front door, and my beloved Fozzie dog RIP, when he was a pup, used to use it if he got caught short in the night it was really funny as he just copied the cats.

A large box in each of the two bathrooms, and a regular sized box in the computer room. This works out OK for four cats with scooping once a day (at least).

All of mine are in the catroom. One thing both Bf and I agree on is that while the house may be accomedating for the cats in any way we can neither of us want litter boxes out and about the house. We keep it gated off so its a private cats only area and the dogs cannot bother them. We keep their tower and toys in that room along with their food and water (wayy opposite end of the room from litter boxes) and we also keep an extra box and food and water in the bedroom, the litter box is in the closet and food and water on top of the dresser. We did that for scaredy cat Fatman because he can eat then take a flying stealth leap onto the bed afterwards.

Our bedroom, the hallway (in front of a door that is never used), the living room, and den. There are no more room's left other than the kitchen and that's where the cats eat - bathrooms doors are kept shut and are too tiny to fit boxes anyways, BIL doesn't let the cats in his room, and of course I don't let them in the gecko room because I'd prefer to keep my geckos alive.

Bathroom. I live in a one bedroom and that is the only real option other than my bedroom or dining/living room area. And I don't want to be sleeping or eating in the same area that my cat goes to the bathroom. Not to mention the dust even from the dust free/track free style litter. Besides, it's easy to scoop where it is. When I go to the bathroom, I simply lean over and scoop the tray.

All my boxes are in the bathrooms. I have one in the downstairs bath and then we have a half bath upstairs that we don't use often (its a finished attic). So I put a cat door on the door and keep the door shut. They go in and out easily and there are 3 boxes in that room.

Autumn's litter box is here in the office. It's right behind my computer desk and at night I put the night light on for her.

Did you find that the other boxes just weren't getting much, if any, use? I've noticed this in my bedroom and hallway boxes. One gets used ~once a month and other other may be used twice a week. I've considered moving both out just to sit by another box in a different room. It would mean one less room for me to walk to when scooping.

We have 2 VERY large Rubbermaid tote bins (one half covered and the other not) upstairs in the hallway for our babies. In our bedroom we have a litterbox for foster, Surprise. In the boys' foster room we have 2 extra large litterboxes and then in the other foster room where we have pregnant Macy, we have a large litterbox for her, and then a small litterbox for kitten training purposes.

One in the living room on the main floor, two in two seperate bedrooms on the second floor, and one in the basement under the stairs.
Spike can only get to the one in the living room and he's only in there when we are and knows he'll get in trouble if he tries eating anything from it. His access is blocked to the second floor. Only time he is in the basement is at night and he's shut in the bedroom then.

Ours is in the upstairs hallway, right outside our very small bathroom. We had a second one in the laundry room for a while, but Jamie never used it, so it was put away.

We have a small closet in our little, 4ft long hallway right outside our bathroom. We leave the door slightly open and leave the liter box in there on the floor. It's the only private place in our 1 bedroom apartment. He seems to like his privacy in there.

I forgot to add that I have baby "finger pinch guards" on the doors that lead to litter boxes so that the cats don't accidentally shut themselves in or out of one of those places. Its not such a HUGE deal now that we have 2 boxes, but when we had 1 we had some accidents when they would knock the door shut while playing when we weren't home. These are U shaped plastic pieces that go around the edge of the door and prevent them from being closed on fingers (or tails!). When we are home and need to close the door, we just remove the guard and hang it over the doorknob.
