Is a show on AP and I love it they have breed profiles on different breeds on each show and today they had the American Bobtail which is what my Pixie is and I am more convinced than ever that she has no siamese in her and that she is a pure American Bobtail and that due to her markings my sister just guessed the siamese but one of them on the show looked identical to Pixie and I thought something was wrong with her that made her back arch a bit well its a breed trait. I just thought I would share this and tell you all about the show they have awesome cats on there

I love that show! After seeing the american bobtail, I think Lilly might be one or a mix. When she was smaller she looked more like a japanese bobtail, but now that she's getting bigger she doesn't look like one anymore.

I loved the story about the domestic shorthair that rides the train every day to the aquarium. That was so cute!

I love that show
Hubby and I watched it for quite awhile last time it was on. It was very informative, and we kept comparing the breeds to our kitties.

I haven't watched Cats 101, but Dogs 101 is frequently VERY inaccurate on their breed info. But maybe the people who run the cat version are better researchers!

Doc Halligan is a moron, for sure! I honestly just like the show cause the kitties are cute and it's fun seeing the different breeds.

The American Bobtails on Cats 101 are my friends cats.
The show was filmed last March.
Polar is my fav.
You should see them in person.
I see them at the TICA shows and bench with Melissa and Jon.

My favorite American Bobtail is sitting next to me right now she is the prettiest one ever but I might be a bit biased. But that being said
I absolutely loved the American Bobtails in that show the cream colored one looks like my Pixie, her pic is in fur pics, and the attitude they described for them fits. She is so intune with me and I find myself hoping to have another one when I get my own place but I didn't know there was such a long waiting list. I got her because my sister got her and like her previous owner no longer wanted her. But my sis is not an animal person makes no sinse for her to get a pet she says its growse that Pixie sleeps with me.

Do you know how hard it is to find them in rescue. Aside from Tavia I have never had a cat grow so close to me so quickly. The only thing I could think of that could make someone decide they didin't want her is that she sheds quite a bit or the hairballs as she has long hair.

It is always interesting to find TV programs that are about cats.
You keep talking about your cat is so now I want to see a picture or five of your Pixie?

For now I just want information about them as I am living with my dad and until I move I can only have Pixie and it was a battle to be able to get her. But I do want to find out how I would go about adopting one when the time is right.

And I have a pic of her up on fur pics It was the only one I could get before my cam decided to die because I don't have good batteries and my charger isn't working on them and I keep forgetting to stop and get more. Its listed under my little Pixie or something like that.

I like that show too, although it seems they run the same one over and over. Everytime I turn it on, I've seen it a million times.

The comment that cracks me up is in the segment on Maine Coons - only Maine Coons have an M on their faces. Hmmmmmmmmmm does that mean the shorthaired semi-feral, brown tabby, Skinny is a Maine Coon too?????

Well, I've only seen one episode (as far as I can remember), it had Scottish Folds, Persians, Savannahs, Sphynxes, Ragdolls and American Shorthairs in it and seemed to be innaccurate or biased on some breeds. Some obvious things were left out, like the health part: they said that Persians may suffer from PKD, so can Foldies because they have Persian in their lines but that was not mentioned. They told to check Ragdolls in case of 'heart issues', they could have said it's HCM as they were telling about the PKD and other stuff as well, they didn't mention that Sphynxes are also a 'risk breed' when it comes to that same 'heart issue' as Ragdolls. I think they should do more research before airing the show.. Cute cats though.

Lol, then my pedigreed Scottish Fold and British Longhair boys are Maine Coons too.

At least it's only some of your cats, my entire cattery will need to be re-classed

It's a superficial show, but hey, that's entertainment.

Most things they say about a particular breed's health goes for other breeds as well, so that might be dangerously misleading.
