I agree with Sue, my first thought when I saw this thread was Pirates of the Caribbean!

Those out on DVD:

Once Upon a Time In America - VERY long movie, but it is SO good!
LA Confidential
The Usual Suspects
Donnie Brasco (just got that for my b-day, and it's a great movie, and Johnny Depp looks oh so good! LOL)

Memento
Jacobs Ladder
Total Recall
Spaceballs

and of course Matrix, Matrix II, pretty soon Matrix III, T1-3, etc.

Memento is my favorite. Every time I watch it, I notice something new.

Jacobs Ladder was good. You never really knew what actually happened.

Total Recall was another one of those where the plot could have followed a couple of lines.

If you like really obscure movies there is Boondock Saints.

If you love funny movies, the Airplane! ones are great; old but absolutely hilarious!

I just watched the newest James Bond movie on Sunday, Die Another Day. I like them all, but especially the ones with Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan; they were the best Bonds in my opinion.

Out of Africa is one of my all-time favourites, and The Usual Suspects is good, but only once. I prefer movies that I can watch over and over, like Fried Green Tomatoes and Steel Magnolias. TBS often has those on, I can watch them anytime. As far as recent Oscar-nominated/winning films, I enjoyed Adaptation, especially for its portrayal of a Southern American person as the most intelligent one in the movie, and the New York and LA people as shallow flaky silly ones. I really want to see The Pianist, too.

Best movie IMO is Court Jester - starring Danny Kaye.

I also love the Mel Brooks movie History of the World Part 1

Movies that I just love watching is West Side Story and South Pacific.

I love classic musicals.
