Pria's Spay

Well I made the big appointment for this Tuesday. According to the shelter paperwork, she has to be done by the end of Sept. due to her age, but she is still so small, even though she eats like a horse. She is by far the daintiest little kitten I have ever had, and probably always will be.

I love this little beauty SO much it's unbelieveable. She is my constant companion. She'll have to stay at the shelter overnight, so I'm going to take Wednesday off to be with her. I literally hate the thought of being without her though!

So guys, if you could send those vibes, we'd appreciate it! I know it's routine and I have been through it so many times before, but well, we all know how stressful it still is. I cry every single time I have had to drop a kitty off, and the bond I have with Pria is extra special.

for Pria, AND for YOU . She certainly is extra special to you, isn't she? (Maybe your soul kitty?) I guess you'll be getting a tattoo of her pretty soon, no?

I've been thinking about it! Oh she's beyond special... She's Mommy's baby girl, and I am so, SO thankfull that she came into my life. I'm also thankfull that Dana SAW how special she is to me and allowed her to join our brood.

Aww, sending vibes and well-wishes for little Pria and for you. That's really nice that you can take off work tomorrow to comfort her when she gets home.

People were of course making fun of me at work for using a vacation day to care for her, but they just don't understand. Pria is my BABY and I felt so guily dropping her off this morning. I'm going to spend all day tomorrow loving on her and making it up to her.

I did get the call from the vet this afternoon that she was out of surgery and just waking up. All went fine and I'm picking her up first thing in the morning.

I'm sorry people were making fun of you at work. That's not okay.

Great news that Pria is doing okay, though!

Thanks so much all!

Pria is now home. When I went into the vets, I heard this very sad meow and said "That's not my girl is it?!?" and she said "Sure is!". I was shocked! Pria only ever chirps, poor thing! As soon as we got in the door she got out of the crate and Teyah and Azizi came over and started grooming her. She hasn't stopped purring and rolling around on the floor, so happy to be home.

Sorry I missed this thread before, so glad you are home with your little girlie.

Queen Eva still has to go through her spay and how I dread it. My vet wants to wait until she is six months old because of her rocky start, wants her built up and strong. I was shocked as I am all for early (before heat cycle) spays, and do not want to have to cope with a kitten in heat.

And I understand your love for her. Some cats just are so special they grab our hearts instantly.

Happy healing Pria

Pria is 6 months old, and I wanted to have it done sooner but she was just too small and my vet refused to do it until she gained some weight. She is still pretty tiny (barely 4 pounds) even though she eats like a horse. Luckily she didn't go into heat before she was done. Hopefully you'll get lucky with the beautiful Queen Eva as well!

Glad to hear that Pria is home and well!

Now, if you could only get your kitties to talk to -aj-'s Mr. Sooty and tell him to be nice to Miss Flash!

Awww..... I missed the thread, but I'm so glad she's fine and being loved on! And you made it through just fine too.

She heals up fine with no complications!

Sneaky Pie was 6 months old when she got spayed.

HollyHeart was 16 weeks old when she got done. I called the low-cost clinic to see if they had any appts- and when I told them how old she was they just went ahead and made an appt.

I was kind of nervous because she was so little, but everything went fine. She's almost a year now, and she's a happy healthy kitty
