Not I. I'm not sure what would do me in first at the moment. My heart, my back, or my foot.

I am! Well when its a decent temp out! We have a greenway about 2 miles from the house so we go down there fairly often!

I go down our concession road about 2 miles into the mighty metrolpolis of Atwood then go back the 2 miles up our concession road---yes, even in winter---in the snowbelt

I walk alot, school 6 times and back and shopping, I rarely sit down, its a lovely feeling in the evenings when I get chance to relax, I'm looking forward to holiday though when walking will be for enjoyable reasons

I walk an hour a day with my sister, no idea how far that is in miles. And as our climate is fairly mild we go year round.

I aim for 6 miles a day... some days 2 miles, other s 12miles

Not driving will increase the walking ...

I go hiking in the woods instead of walking and don't use an i-Pod cause I would miss all the nature sounds.

If it wasn't so disgustingly hot out, I would. When hubby and I visited New Jersey last summer, we walked 4-5 miles each day around the large pond by my grandma's house. We'd walk from her house, to the pond, and back up the hills to her house. It was great.

Because the weather is so gross here, I can barely stand to be outside during the late spring - summer - early fall. It's still 90*F so far this month. The humidity has gotten a little better though, and hopefully soon I can go walking again. In the winter, Rob and I would walk his cousin's dog 2-3 miles every few days, and I'd walk him 1-2 miles on my own when I felt energetic.

I also want to get into running/jogging, tried it earlier in the summer ... thought I was going to have a heart attack after 1/4 mile because it was 100*F with a heat index of 115*F.

I try to walk every evening after dinner. We're lucky here in that there are tons of nice trails nearby, and I have a route I do that takes a good hour. No idea how many kms it is though. I don't use an Ipod though as I like to stay fairly alert to what/who's around me.

I don't have an Ipod, but I do try to walk a couple of miles a day on my treadmill. It's too hot here (yes, even at the North Pole!) to walk outside, plus I have a neurological condition which makes my balance out of whack), which is why I only do my walking on a treadmill where I can by holding onto something. I love watching either the food network or HGTV while walking.

I walk for two hours every day, if I can. I don't know how to drive so have to walk everywhere anyway. But, in addition, I take my daily walk in all weathers. Walking saves my sanity.

I'd love it but I get creeped out by walking alone. And there isn't always someone to go with me.

I'm the same way. Plus, I've met a lot of people in Hartford just by doing a daily walk. I even have people who come up to me and introduce themselves because they have seen me walking for so many years. That's the sad thing about Connecticut - nobody walks!

I love going for walks and taking my music with me, I find it helps me to wind down if I'm stressed or I just listen to it anyway...my normal walk into town and back takes me at least an hour or so, which is enough for me.

When the weather is good I walk to and from work which is about 7 blocks each way. I work at a nursing home, so I'm on my feet and walking or standing for most of an 8 hour day. There's always a lot to do so I know I walk a few miles at work, but I'm just not sure how many.

BTW, my dad is 83 and still walks 3 miles a day to help control his type 2 diabetes.
