Fess up people! Who has already bought a bag or two of Halloween candy without the intention of passing it out to small costume-clad children?? I have!
When I went to Walgreens yesterday to to pick up my medicine, I saw the isles all decked out for Halloween. I got sooo excited when I saw the ginormuious bags of Mixed Flavor Double Bubble bubble gum on sale!!!
Needless to say, I bought a bag!
I'm pretty sure almost all of the cherry flavored gum is almost gone now

Who else has gone Halloween candy shopping??

Ummm yea I've done it. I've bought a couple of bags of candy corn from Wallgreens- they had the caramel kind and and also one that is in different shapes like pumpkins, etc; it's just soooo good

I have not done it yet this year, but only because BF and I just came back from England with several pounds of chocolate I think.
I think we have some candy still from last year- I got a mixed bag of Tootsie Roll things, with tootsie rolls, tootsie pops and Dots. No one likes Dots. I guess it's time to chuck them.

That said, ut0pia- you reminded me about candy corn- I think I must buy some soon!! YUM!

Not me! I looked at a bag of mixed Hershey's products today and then thought better about buying candy over a month before Halloween! I will buy some right before Halloween so we don't eat it.

We still have a pumpkin filled with hard candies from last year in a closet somewhere I need to toss. We were moving into the house on Halloween last year and all the neighbor kids thought the house was still vacant. That or they didn't want to bother the people with the moving truck. Zero trick or treaters.

I'm a diabetic, so I've learned self-control!
Actually, even when I could eat it, I didn't like candy much, so it's not hard. And, with 250 kids at my door on Halloween, there's never any left--I always run out. Funny, the last few kids always refuse the little cans of Fancy Feast we try to palm off on them...wonder why????

Kind of off-topic, but...after 5 years of filling those tiny, paper treat sacks with 3 pieces of candy, I finally wised up. I belong to a warehouse club, and also had coupons, so I bought boxes of those vending machine-sized packs Oreo cookies, etc. Each kids gets one pack. No need to bag them up. A bit pricier than candy, but, oh, how it will save me time! I usually start bagging Labor Day weekend, and fill a few each night, then stash them away from the cats. DH thinks I'm crazy, but can you imagine trying to dole out each piece individually to 4-6 kids literally every 1-2 minutes? Mind you, our driveway is short, but still, having kids backed up to the street from my front door (it's happened) is a pain, too. It's so hectic, I invite a friend over to help me, as DH often isn't home yet. I have to do this in order to get a bathroom break! I love it, though.

Sometimes I buy a bag, and say its for trick or treaters, but Rob knows as well as I do that there aren't ever ANY that come down our street. When he was a kid living in the house in front of ours, they would ride to the subdivisions for trick or treating.

Next time I'm at the store I'm sure I'll end up with a bag of candy I don't need

We live so far out that we don't get trick or treaters so we have to buy some so our cabinets don't get lonely
But I share with my niece and I am thinking about throwing a halloween party for her.

DH will buy a ton of candy and no one ever comes to our street. We end up eating it. I will buy candy corn for myself.

My brother and Sil live right on Main Street in a small town. Some of their neighbors spend $$$ on candy. They have a huge volume of trick-or-treaters. I'd love to go over there and watch. My brother was not prepared the first year they lived there; he ran out of candy and had to run out for more.

Wait a minute....we are supposed to share the huge bags of candy?

I am generally not allowed to go down the candy aisle this time of year because hubby knows that I have a huge weakness for chocolate and candy. Besides, nobody trick-or-treats in our neighborhood.

Here you go. I'm sure you could probably find some over there if you hunted around for it. Here not all brands taste very good - Brach's (mentioned) is a better tasting brand.

We bought a 2 for 9 deal of two huge bags of reeses cups and kitkatts the other day. Not for trick or treater use.

DH loves Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so we'll buy a bag of those and stick them in the freezer for him. I don't usually get any candy around Halloween. We don't have any Halloweeners and haven't had any in quite a few years now.

(I am rather partial to Snickers bars, though. My favorite will always be peanut M & Ms.

^We buy bags of candy randomly throughout the year. We do love the after holiday candy sales, though.
We usually buy Hershey or Nestle candy since DH gets tired of all the Mars stuff after a while. Plus those brands are like contraband at his work.

I do not pass out candy my dogs are too much of a pain in the butt to even do it.. and I haven't bought any yet. I still have to get cavities filled so I'll probably do it after that.

If anyone likes hershey kisses, they probably don't have them out yet but they make candy corn kisses. It's white chocolate with candy corn flavor. SO good but I only found them a few years ago so I don't know if they still make them. But do try them!

I am prolly the only person on the face of the earth who HATES candy corn, peeps and those awful candy valentine hearts.

I always try to buy good candy because I remember growing up being disappointed getting some of the cheap candy....those Necco Wafers I remember getting all the time.

I haven't bought any yet due to the fact that I would eat it all and I am on a diet

On no...you are NOT the only person on earth who HATES that crap. There are at least TWO of us
.

But I DO love anything with chocolate in it, especially Reese's!
