Vet visit today proved no parasites, no mites, no worms, no viruses, and best of all, she's spayed and tattooed on her belly with an "S." There was no microchip.

I've got some drops to rub on her ears twice a day to clear up whatever it is that is bothering her, but the vet said it isn't mange and it isn't catchy; looks more like scratches that are healing to him.

She does have some built up ear wax, but he said as long as she's not digging at it, it's fine to leave it be for the moment (I spent a whole week's pay today to take Squeaky and Sissy both to the vet.
)

He said as long as I plan to keep her indoor-only, she can be integrated whenever I choose, so I am going to get the feliway going for a couple of days, whip out ye olde vanilla extract this weekend and see if I can't have yet another successful 24 hour intro!

I'm so happy that's she's spayed!

She was outside and didn't have worms? That's unbelievable. Fecals miss round and tapeworms pretty often. Do a couple or dewormings if you want to save yourself some trouble.

She's already been dosed with Revolution twice: once about 3 weeks ago and once today, plus I will dose her again in a month.

It's obvious that she prefers the indoors, and was a housecat at one point, for she is totally content with being inside. She was SO hungry - I think she was dumped, and I don't think she was outside longer than a few months.

Am totally on top of it - been a crazy cat lady for a while now.

She coughed up a gigantic hairball today, too, LOL! I think her tummy is much happier now, hopefully her stools will firm up as soon as she gets used to eating better food. Am now transitioning her from friskies dry to the royal canin that the indoor cats get.

Thanks for the update! So glad she is disease free. I recommend testing for FeLV/FIV again in three months.

I don't think Revolution kills the tapeworm though, so I agree with strange wings you may want to dose her with droncit before the integration.

Congratulations to you both!

Revolution does nothing for tapeworms, they're also the least likely to show up in a fecal.

Well, truly, I have an excellent vet, and I trust him. Additionally, Squeaky is no longer eating like it's going out of style. If she had a tapeworm, I don't think she would have gained any weight in the last two months, and she HAS gained weight since she started eating here.

I appreciate your concerns, but I feel strongly that all the bases have been properly covered. Squeaky goes back to the vet in one month for her distemper booster.

Also, tapeworms are usually noticeable on the cat's rear end. I think you could just keep an eye out for them and get meds if needed.

Hooray! I've been following Squeaky's story and I'm so glad it's worked out. As the others said, you should probably try something like some droncit. I'm very glad that she is spayed now, it really does seem like you have a good vet.

Happy that she is now spayed, I've also seen her photos, she is beautiful!
