Hi all

I'm a bit upset tonight, since moving into our new house in June we couldn't have asked for better neighbours after our bad experience with our last neighbours.Infact we get on really well and have even been out with them, they are looking after our pets next week when we go away. They are big cat lovers too so that makes them even better. They have wanted a baby for a long time but she went through menopause when she was in her 20's so they went on the ivf waitin list 3 years ago. 6 weeks ago she had 2 embryos implanted and after two weeks did a test and it was positive. They went for an early scan today and I have just seen her husband, the pregnancy is ectopic and she's in hospital. She will have to have an operation to remove the pregnancy. Its just devestating, they would be the best parents ever and this has happened to them. I feel that they won't try again after this, its just terrible. I have text her to send my love and she said thankyou, poor, poor lady, how she must be feeling right now.Her hubby is devastated, he said he passed out when they told them. Please if you can spare a vibe/prayer that would be fantastic.Thankyou.xx

It makes me feel so grateful for my children. They are such a lovely couple, I really don't think they will try again, she is 40. I feel in shock and worried what to say to her, I will buy her some flowers and a card, she will be in hospital for a couple of days atleast. x

I am SO sorry Ruthy. It's a shame that decent people have to go through this while other people don't have ANY business having children have "litter" after "litter!" Mega to your neighbors. And to you too because I know from personal experience how thoughtful you are and how sad you feel for them.
I hope they don't give up. They are very blessed to have you and your family as neighbors/friends!!!

Thankyou Cheryl, it really has shocked me, I wasnt expecting this at all and I agree too many people have too many kids and just do not be thankful for what they have got. This has really made me think.x

Oh Ruthy, I am so very sorry for your neighbors. They must be so devastated. My heart goes out to them. Please give them a hug.

What horrible news! It doesn't seem fair... sigh. Sending emotional and physical healing vibes from California to your neighbors.

We are dogsitting tonight for their Collie Molly, Penny is as I speak in surgery, they are removing the baby and her fallopian tube. I got them a card earlier but word are just not enough, her hubby is just devestated. He said she does want to try IVF again though which is very brave of her to even talk about it at this stage. The least I could do for them is have Molly, poor dog is all over the place and is hiding in the kitchen, the cats amazingly seem ok with her being here.x

Your cats probably understand the dog is stress out. Maybe with time--after this terrible shock to them--they would be open to adopt a child? Good people like these two should not be childless.

She wants to be pregnant so they will try IVF again, they have 3 eggs left. I'm a bit numb feeling tonight, I just cannot believe how lucky I am to have 3 beautiful kids and they are going through this. I just took Moll for a walk but all she did was try and pull me next dor, I don't know what time he will be home, we said we will have her all night if needs be but I am not sure what to do with an upset dog, she's panting and obviously missing her dad. Ian is her master and she loves him, poor dog doesn't understand whats going on.x
