The kittens have been on it since the 10th (5 doses so far) and I swear I can smell it in their stools today. I do have a sensitive nose, but am I losing my mind, here?
Has anyone noticed stools smelling like the antibiotic their pet is taking?

The other possibility is just that this stuff is so awful smelling that it's burned into my nose.

I'm sure you can smell it in their stool. I've noticed many times when I've taken Augmentin or other penicillin type drugs, that I can smell it in my urine.

Lola's on Zeniquin right now, but it doesn't seem to have any odor to it.

..I've noticed when I take augmentin everything starts to smell like it.
Good to know the Zeniquin isn't doing anything too funky. I've never noticed it happening when the cats have been on amoxi, clavamox, or azithromycin.

totally off topic and not even answering your question but here is a thought.

If it smells that bad can you imagine what it tastes like
Poor little kittens. I know giving Doxy to patients at work does make them
more times than not. Its a super strong drug but honestly I don't think I've ever smelled it in their stools, but then again the lovely smells that travel around the hospital could hide it.

Hospitals usually do have plenty of other smells floating around. I hate the alcohol hand sanitizer my local one uses - it's so strong it makes me nauseous. I don't know if I could smell much of anything after a good whiff of that.

Maybe I was imaging it. Though, I can usually tell when certain cats have just used the litter box by walking by since there's so many different foods in the house. This just had that odd burnt-ish something terribly wrong smell of doxy slightly underlying.

I ordered some eagle pack holistic solution (since cats love the taste of it) the other day and that may help a bit since they have to be on antibiotics for so long.

...I'm also considering an extra teeth brushing on them before bed to make sure the doxy is absolutely out of their mouths..
