Hello and good day,

My name is mandi and I love cats, and all animals. I spent 4 years grooming both cats and dogs along with all the 22 years of my life taking in pets and helping them find homes. I can't tell you how many dogs i randomly picked up that i found wondering the streets and my mom would come home saying "who do we have today?" I have always enjoyed helping lost pets find new homes or their old ones. And i feel blessed when the owners call and thank me. This couple in southern cali lost there beautiful auburn colored husky during their move. Luckily she was chipped, so when i took her to the nearest shelter she was able to be reunited. I had also given her, and any other pet i picked up, a free bath at whatever dog grooming shop i worked at.

Currently I own two cats. But the problem is one of them is a 6 month orange tabby kitten that i saved from an abandoned apartment about a month ago. I call him Turbo Kit (boyfriend named him) because he is sooo full of energy. He isn't a problem, the problem is where i am living, the lady who owns the little mobile home is now opening a quilt shop and does not want the kitten around. She thinks he will destroy her stuff because he wants to play with it all. I have paid for all his shots but the last set and am now trying to find him a loving home. A loving home with a lot of space because he loved to run, chase lazer lights, play with anything shiny and most of all he loves water. He will sit in the sink and play with the water for hours. He also enjoys showering with me, what an odd kitty!!

So please cross your fingers I can find him a loving home, its hard having my other cat, Mr. T, whom I have owned since he was a kitten and we took him in from someone who was going to just put him out on the street. He is now 7 and a very long haired mancoon. His shedding has caused so much of an issue, if i don't keep him in my room the lady threatend to put him in a shelter. Needless to say I'm looking for a new place.

So thats the jist on me and the cats. If anyone knows of any homes here in northern cali that are looking for one cute kitten please let me know. I wish i could keep him but its unfair to keep him locked up in this tiny room with another cat that 17 pounds. He is great with kids, my 4 year old brother comes over to visit and plays with him and is fine. No idea if he is okay with dogs because I dont own any, but since he is a kitten i'm sure it wouldnt be hard for him to adjust.

Mandi,

I can't help you - I'm in PA, but I wanted to say hi and tell you I'm so happy to hear about young people helping animals like you are doing. You have such a good heart and I will hold good thoughts and prayers that you find a home for the kitten.

Good luck to you, and keep up the good work!
Sherry

Good luck in finding that precious little one a great home! Yeah, from the sounds of things I'd be looking for a new home too.
Hope you enjoy TCS!
