She is LOVING being inside. She gives me more headbutts than Maxwell does, and in addition to headbutts, when I'm on "the throne," she gets up on the sink and then oh-so-gently, she places one paw, then the other upon the tip of my nose.

She is grateful to be inside, to be fed, to be loved, and she is letting me know with all her might.

I am crate training her (she knows what they are and does NOT want to be placed inside one.) A bowl of wet food inside the crate does wonders to entice a hungry girl inside.
And then I pet her while she's in there eating. I think the positive association will work wonders.

Vet visit is going to be Thursday morning. She has stopped guzzling water, and her stools, while still rank and soft, are starting to appear slightly better formed. I cannot WAIT to get her dewormed.

I think if all goes well with her health, she's going to be a wonderfully sweet addition to my clowder.

I am also going to ask the vet if there are any rescue/foster networks that they are associated with, and start investigating such in the area. I simply can NOT keep adding cats to my household, as I just can't afford it. But if more cats seek me out because they have been abandoned, it would be great to be tied into a network that could help them find the care and love and furever homes that they need.

So far, all is going better than I could have expected with this precious girl. She's completely stolen my heart.
Baby Bonnie may have some serious competition for cuddles, LOL!

Awwwwww!!!!!!!!! And those pictures of her you posted.... you can just SEE her radiating happiness!

...but yes, having a contact at a local foster network is a GREAT idea. I don't know what we would have done without them.....
We make donations whenever we can, and still spend the money fixing up the kitties before they take them.

OK, maybe I AM a cat whisperer.

Squeaky wants to follow me out of the laundry room into the main house - she will be a velcro kitty, I think. At least until she's totally acclimated.

Anyhoo, when she starts following me to the door, I turn and place one finger in the air above her face, and tell her firmly to STAY.

And then she does!!!

I already have a bunch of well-behaved cats that listen and (mostly) do what I tell them to. And now this incredible response from a cat I barely know.

Seriously, is it me?
Or is it THEM, and they have me exactly how they want me. I am their slave and they know how to get me to act and yet allow me to THINK that it's me in control when they are in fact the puppetmasters.

Hmmmm....

Hiding from my SS!
Its THEM. THEY have trained YOU very well. You know what signals THEY want and how to respond.

Jinkers is very thankful for his new home as well. Its amazing how sometimes cats just "know" they are in a better place and with people who will care for them, and they are just so happy and grateful for it.
