we were feeding these two guys in our alleyway all summer, they have had little to no socialization, and we are the only humans that have ever had anything to do with them.

they are so different in temperament it is hard to believe that not only are they from the same litter but they have had the same amount of human contact. the little boy cat is going to take a lot of work, at least we have been the only source of regular food for these guys, that has to help, right?

here's the little boy, his name is arthur. he is cross-eyed half the time!

and here is his sister fenchurch, who after a week has integrated into our house pretty much seamlessly, and who is obviously very much at home
she is a sweet sweet little thing, while her brother is totally feral.

Aw, I have an Arthur too.

Hopefully, her trust of you will start to rub off on him at some point. He will come around, especially after being neutered.

You have a good heart to help these little urchins!!

Aw, both the babies are so precious and sweet. Good on you for rescuing them, and good luck with Arthur. Fenchurch definitely has made herself at home.

Its so interesting to see how their personalities vary having had the same experiences. It looks like Fenchurch has settled right in and is loving the housecat life! Hopefully Arthur will follow right behind.

What adorable babies!! Bless you for rescuing them. I'm sure that with lots of TLC, time, and patience Arthur will come around and feel right at home like his sister does.

arthur has calmed down a bit, but he still won't let us touch him. he just loooooves one of our resident cats though, and he will snuggle up with him and rub along his sides and purrs like crazy. arthur will play with me and he isn't hiding off in the corner now when i come in to the room. he even gets all excited when i bring in the wet food and will come up to the bowl as i am putting it down. so it's slow but steady progress, and i hope it won't all go to pieces when we take him in on monday to get neutered!

here is arthur with tim roth

and fenchurch, being helpful:

Oh such adorable little brown tabbies! Congratulations on the rescue.

That pic of Arthur and Tim Roth should be in a frame on your wall. I love the way all their stripes line up together in that one.
