I had so much fun tonight! A group of us got together to watch the True Blood season finale and had a true southern dinner.....My friend who grew up in Kansas made fried chicken, dandelion greens with bacon and extra garlic
, spicy sausage and rice, and another friend brought bloody good watermelon salad (she added a little food coloring), and a nice red wine to wash it down!
We all were a little disappointed with this finale, not many answers, a hole lot of questions left..........But it was such a good time!

That sounds so awesome!! I felt kind of sad after the finale. We won't have any more True Blood till next summer... it's just so long! I thought the cement covered Eric was hilarious. Do you think Sookie will ever clean up her house? That place could use some paint after what Marianne did to it! LOL

That was exactly our frustration
!!!!! A whole year??!! Notice how they tried to kill Eric off twice tonight? Killing Eric? Not an option, he is one of the main reasons us ladies watch
! But what about Tara, who's only special power we see is be annoying! Sam, what's up with his rage issues? The werepanthers? What about Lafayette, and his evil witch doctor boyfriend?

I know, right? Ugh! They need to do more episodes. 12 is just not doing it for me! If Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) wasn't on the show, I wouldn't be watching it. Bill sure did show some of his true self tonight! I don't think there's been a single episode this season where Tara wasn't crying, that gets old quick! She's barely in the books and I could do with less of her on the show. Lafayette always cracks me up! I would like to see more of him and being funny not that scary voodoo crap.

You mean to tell me that Sookie hasn't cleaned her house since Season 2???

I really enjoyed the first two seasons, but haven't watched any of this one yet. Will watch it back to back probably when I get around to it.

BTW, what about Supernatural? is it showing? I think I watched up to the last episode of Season 5, but no idea if and when season 6 is showing.

I love True Blood, but only watch it when my co-worker buys the DVDs. Such a good show!

I thought Supernatural was cancelled by ABC? I don't have HBO but I am thinking about it because I have gotten interested in TB.

Supernatural has always been on the CW....never on ABC. The new season (Season 6) starts on September 24. It has been moved to Friday nights now instead of showing on Thursdays.

Tara is the town *****! We decided her special power is to annoy! Some how towards the end of the season finale, she lost her powers, for the most part
....
As far as Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) and his new boy toy carrying on, I feel the same, not necessary to see so much saliva swapping! I think it's more because we know this guy is evil, he is way to cute and loving towards Lafayette, we all know how many times Lafayette has been burned! Nelsan Ellis said himself in a recent article that the love scenes were really hard for him, he had to think of his girlfriend
.

I dont have cable so Im behind on tv shows unless they are available online but I bet anything Winchester knows for sure whats up with Season 6. I read the info about whats supposed to happen and Im WOWED. I just got season 5 on DVD for my bday and Im so ready to try and hunt down season 6 if it started or when it does start. A few people Ive talked to about it think that it should have ended at 5 but I think the lead off to the 5 finale into 6 was pretty good. It leaves a ton of options open for what the guys could end up doing.....

BTW did anyone else who saw the last episode of Supernatural season 5 bawl their eyes out when Dean went back to Lisa....OMG soooo freakin sweet but I still think that Jo should have lived and her and Dean gotten together they would have been a perfect couple. Yeah I cried over Jo and Ellen too...Im such a cry baby!

I have to say after watching the True Blood season finale, that I was a little disappointed in it... Then again I didn't enjoy this season nearly as much as the other 2 for some reason.

I despised Jo with a passion! Although she (Alana Toh) did get better the longer she was on. I think that whenever Dean thought about a normal life, it was always with Lisa. I was really upset when Ellen died, though.....that was one awesome woman! And, for the record? I think Bobby is awesome, too. That man rocks. I believe Season 6 will be the last season, although I rather thought that about season 5, too, and then both boys signed new contracts. I guess we'll find out.

I've been reading about Season 6 and I'm excited about the season premiere next Friday night. It's a bummer that it's been moved to Fridays, but on the other hand, I can now start watching Fringe again, I guess. I like how Season 5 ended.....with Sam looking at the house from the street light and the light blinking. So Sammy, what's going on there?

Just got Season 5 today in the mail! WooHoo! I'm watching Season 1 of The Vampire Diaries right now, though...that series came last week. I watch one episode a night while I'm exercising. Yeah, I like TVD. (Where's that paper bag thingy? Oh, yeah, there it is!!
) I have to give Supernatural to my co-worker in exchange for Dexter. But that will work, too. I'm excited about watching Dexter.

Oh and I order from Amazon, too.

I thought this season wasn't so great. The story developed sooo slowly and then we didn't get enough answers, everything was so vague and had I not known some of the characters from reading the books I may have been confused about why they are being thrown into the story- like with Hunter- Hadley's son, Crystal, the Wiccan waitress, Lafayette's witch boyfriend, and even with Alcide and Debbie there was something missing in how they were presented. I felt as though we didn't need to know about them given how the story wasn't moving forward because all this extra stuff was thrown in! Yea, maybe they'll use it in future seasons, but still, I wasn't impressed with how all this information was thrown at us but not fully explained.
I really like that Sookie has powers other than her ability to read minds though. That was cool.
