It wasn't as bad as I thought
I have been avoiding watching it all these years and final last night I watched it! I'm normally okay with horror movies as long as they don't hurt animals

Silence of the lambs was a brilliant film. I recommend avoiding Hannibal, it seemed to be out for the shock factor. Red Dragon was also very good, and seeing Ralph Fiennes bare butt wasn't too bad, either.

So far out in left field I got lost
I too agree that "Silence of the Lambs" was a brillant move. However it wasn't at all what I expected. Hannibal on the other hand gave me the willys
I haven't seen Red Dragon yet but really want to.

Red Dragon is the prequel to Silence of the Lambs - I wish I could have seen them in the right order. Both were awesome! Hannible FREAKED me out... I'll never look at Ray Liotta the same way... OR Stir fry... Eeeeeew!

I hate these kind of movies. I avoid them like the plague. I saw Seven in the theatre and wasn't quite right for weeks afterwards.

I was able to Stomach Silence of the Lambs. However, I don't think I can watch Hannibal. My daughter told me about parts of it and I just don't think I can do it. :chicken:

I will not watch Hannibal. Silence of the Lambs was brilliant. I had read the book prior, and it was 10x scarier than the movie. I read Red Dragon, as well, but haven't seen the movie yet.

Red Dragon is actually a remake of a movie called Manhunter, that was made shortly after the book came out. It is not quite as intense, but very good. I can't think of his name, but the guy that stars in CSI plays the lead in Manhunter.
