For those that don't know, we christened Charlie's new name a couple of days ago. He's been with us full time for about six weeks.

He's not the same love bug he was in the trailer, but he is SUCH a sweetheart. He does love having his big fat cheeks scritched (and his chin!). He sleeps in bed with us at night. At some point he usually moves to the pillows above my head.

...And even though he doesn't have his "purr up" the way he did next door, it'll come.
There's too many kitties to be relaxed enough - just yet - to tolerate too many pets. But he does like to "hold my hand."

June - the scruffy cutie in the trailer:

Enjoying the top of the cat tree:

The cutest tummy EVER!

Holding my hand - I don't want more scritches but I love you mommy!

OH! I totally forgot to mention - now that he's been on a much better diet for... a little over three months - than whatever he was eating outside, his fur is becoming SOOOOOO incredibly soft!

You can tell his coat has improved in the later pictures. It actually looks like he'd be soft.

There's just something about him, he's a big cutie.
I think it's the expression he often seems to have - curious.

I hope he settles in soon so he can relax.

There is "just something about him," and we don't know what it is! He IS such a cutie. You know, we were thinking it might be that he has such a "kitten" attitude about everything. His face just LIGHTS UP whenever we grab a wand toy. ANYTHING moves near/around him, and he's ready to play - but yet it's in this grown up chunky tom cat body - and he's got those chunky legs and chubby cheeks...
(Can you tell we're in love with him?
).

Yes - that "curiosity" expression!

We like the new name too.
It really fits him. (Also for those who don't know, Chumley was the best bud of Tennessee Tuxedo. These are cartoon characters from the 1960s. Tuxie was named after Tennessee Tuxedo. Tuxie and Chumley (as our kitties) aren't best buds... but Tuxie's quite sweet to him, even though Chumley's really best buds with Billy.
).

Chumley loves a good bath.

It just makes us smile to see him smiling!

The funny thing is that there really is! The vets and staff at both vet practices he's been to are in love with him too.

Oh, wow, he's come such a long way in such a short time. You and Gary are so awesome, I do not know HOW you manage to do it, but you do!

Chumley - I used to LOVE that cartoon, LOL! (Does that date us?!)

He's definitely thriving. And how very special that he likes to hold your hand.
Miss Squeaky held mine earlier today and I was able to get a picture of it (is in the thread I posted.)

They really do appreciate it when they get love and proper care!

What a total little love bug he is! He's done so well under your love and care. You can see it in the condition of his fur as well as his expression. So glad he's found a forever home with you.

This picture really sums up how happy Chumley is now. Priceless.
