Google helped me bake last night! And by help I mean try to trip me, kill me, make me drop the cake, and give in and give him another can of wet food....
This is the DEAD CENTER of the kitchen floor and in the path of the triangle.... so very helpful

He looks so scruffy! But he hates being brushed unless he is eating. Gonna have to figure something out with that!

Well with all that... he practically baked the cake himself! He probably needs another can of food after all that work! Maybe you could brush him while he eats it...

We try to do that, but you still have to be very quick and its rather hard to get his belly and sides. And when he realizes what you are doing, the claws come out...

We have that problem with Flambe. He just can't seem to figure out how to stay out of our way in the kitchen.

And we have an exact twin of Google at the shelter right now.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
It is definitely the job of at least one cat per home to try to trip you up!

Ummmm.... so did the cake "make it"? Did anyone get to eat cake? Or did it have to be binned after the spill? What kind of cake was it?

Now I feel like a piece of cake!
Seems like Google didn't get his!

Yep the cake made it! I posted pictures in this thread! I sent it to work with Gary this morning! Everyone said it was good! It was a strawberry and chocolate glazed cake

Google reminds me of my cats. Basically, they resent any activity that doesn't involve them!

Your cake looks great, by the way!

Well now that I see how well your cake turned out I DEFINITELY think Google deserves extra canned food for practically making it for you! And I want to know where MY piece of cake is. Hmm?

He's su-purr-vising! That's his job! And he does it very well, indeed!

You might want to pull up a chair next to you at the counter when you're baking. Banshee used to want to lay on the kitchen floor and I was forever tripping over her or trying to side-step her, so I didn't tread on her paws. I finally put a chair over next to me and plopped her on the chair. She loved it....she could watch everything I was doing from her chair and I didn't have to worry about where she was.

I'm doing that with Mollipop now, too.

Oh god, if he were any closer to the counter he would either A: end up in my mixer B: eat everything while I was baking or C: End up sleeping on my cake because it was warm!
LOL!
I did find out if you give him wet food while you are doing the bulk of the baking he will stay to the side of the kitchen, and then go pass out on a rug! LOL!

He sounds like a total character!!! My kitchen helpers usually assist me with CONSUMING stuff!!!

My boyfriend also said of Jakie - little black and white kitty - that he was voted "Most Likely to Get Underfoot and Trip and Kill a Human" by his kitten graduating class!
