I have a meeting next week with the principal of my son's school.
Good Lord I am an adult. It totally freaks me out that I have to go the principal's office

I can't relate because I've never been in that situation, but I imagine I would be somewhat freaked out too!

I remember when I was in nursing school I ran into one of my high school teachers. I looked at him and said "Mr. Coulter?!" He knew me right away! After pleasantries, he said, "Please, call me Dave!" I was horrified at the thought!
I told him "NO! I could never do that! You'll always be Mr. Coulter to me!"

The principal phoned back, She says please just call me Lynn.
I am thinking . I can't call her by her first name. I am happy this is just a ameet to discuss my son's educational needs. But I sitll feel like a little girl

I bet once you meet Lynn, you will get right into a good discussion, your nerves will quiet down and you will wonder why you felt that way in the first place, now go wash your sweaty palms
all will go well.

OMG Id freak, I get weirded out running into teachers at stores and stuff and they recognize me. BF sees his teachers all the time but has a good repor (sp???) with them since he ended up doing a lot of side jobs for them in school and out of school. He still calls them Mr. ___ not by their first name lol.

LOL! When the principal would call me into the office to discuss my brother's grades (he was quite the character in school sometimes), I would always freak out, too. I was 18 years old and would have to go to the school for my brother because Dad was always working and Mom didn't want to deal with it. So I was the one they called when they needed something.

I'm sure you'll be fine!

Lynn is a lovely lady, She also invited a school counselor Paul and Claire the education supervisor. When I was sitting out side her office I was terrified. As soon as she spoke I was fine.
