Well things are going really well with all of my current fosters. I've been fairly lucky in finding homes recently and I'm hoping that will continue.

Big Boy Herbie - He'll be going to his forever home within the next week.

One eyed Lucy - She has a forever home waiting for her. The kittens are almost 7 weeks old and they have been adopted by my aunt, so when they are 8 weeks, every one of them will be going to their forever homes!

Talbot - He's going to his forever home tomorrow morning.

Waldo & Rio - I've been having one hell of a time trying to find these guys homes They have been with me for 3 months now with no hits. My friend from the shelter called me saying the SPCA from a neighbouring town is holding a big PetSmart adoptathon this weekend, and she is going to have them take these two boys, so wish them luck!

Chance - He's a kitty I took in from a friend of mine when he was abandoned by his previous owner.
I THINK he is neutered, but I am not sure. If he is, he has a home who will take him, but I need someone who knows more about what they're looking for to check.

Last but not least is Surprise, the little black beauty who was dropped off at our place last Saturday.
I originally thought she had just had kittens, but even in the time she has been with us, her belly is filling out, and now I think she may be pregnant, so we're keeping a close eye on her.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Congrats on Lucy, her babies, Big Boy Herbie and Talbot!

for Waldo & Rio, Chance and Surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But as to Chance - even if he isn't neutered, is that not something the rescue would take care of? Or is there no low-cost spay/neuter around? A vet relationship perhaps? Seems like a simple solution to the obstacle in the way of his going to a new furrever home!

And mommy kitty.... I don't know how you feel about spaying pregnant kitties, but what about getting her to the vet to find out?????
She's still outside?

If Chance isn't neutered, then I will sponsor him for his neutering myself. No low cost programs at all around here however, even through the shelter it is SLIGHTLY cheaper, but not by a significant amount.

As for Surprise, no, she is inside, in our bedroom actually.
We had the shelter do up her paperwork, so we are fostering her through them and they do not spay pregnant kitties. They find foster people like me to foster the mom's and babes until they are ready for forever homes.

Well the woman who was interested in Chance just told me that she doesn't want him after all.
His perfect forever home is out there somewhere...

It's ok doll.
I'm confident he'll find a home. So he's not neutered after all. While at the shelter they vaccinated him, dewormed him, etc. and once I get paid, I'll be sponsoring his neuter with the hopes that will help him find his forever home.
