Today's question is a little bit later than usual. I am on vacation and I slept in a bit.

Today being my anniversary, my question stems from this:

If you are married, how long have you been married? What do you do on this day? How do you celebrate it?

I have been married 31 years today!
We don't have much money since my pay has been cut so we are just going to go out to a Chinese buffet for lunch. Mike wants his sushi! LOL

This year in May, we celebrated 15 years of marriage; 20 years together.

How we celebrate depends on if my husband is in town or not. This year he wasn't but he sent me 15 long-stemmed giant roses - they were 3.5+ feet tall, no joke! The buds were the size of my fist. I had to go out and buy a huge heavy glass vase to put them in!

Our 10th anniversary was spent in a hotel room in Austin, Texas where our then feverish 7-year-old crawled into our bed at 3:00 a.m. and vomited 4 times all over the bedding. My husband and I spent the next 4 days taking turns going to breakfast and going out to buy juices and food and meds.

These days we usually we go out to dinner, taking our daughter because she wants to celebrate too. Some times we give/receive presents, sometimes not, depends on the year.

I have been married since July 2009. For our first anniversary (actually the night before since it was on a Sunday), we got a dog sitter and got away for the night. Then we went to dinner at my in laws house because there was visitors down from up north and his parents wanted us to come for dinner.

40 years next April 30th.

We don't normally do much because I won't fly. Normally I will make him a nice breakfast in bed that weekend. Sometimes we'll send each other flowers.

DH wanted to take me to Ireland for our 25th....I won't fly.

For our 35th anniversary, we spent a long weekend at a lovely B & B in Niagara-on-the Lake.

For our 40th next year, we will be going on a cruise. For a long time, I refused to do a cruise, but he's finally talked me into one. He is in charge of all prep and it's supposed to be a surprise, so I guess I'll find out!

We've been married since Dec. 2004, but together since May 2000. We don't do anything.. I can't even remember which day we got married on - I'd literally have to dig my marriage license out to check. Maybe he remembers

Actually.. I just dug it out anyways because I couldn't be sure it if was December since I don't remember it being that cold.. must have been a warmer December that year.
And if anyone thinks this sounds terrible, I have an extreme deficit in remembering numbers - dates and time are hard for me to keep track of. I'll even forget my own birthday.

Congratulations! Wishing you many, many more!
We will celebrate our 36th anniversary in December. We'll go out to dinner and maybe see a movie if there's anything good playing. We might have to take in the next Harry Potter movie for the 3rd or 4th time.

Vince and I got married this year, January 25th. We've been together since April 24th of 2000. We usually go out to dinner on our April anniversary, although last year we went on our honeymoon/vacation.

We have been married for 2 years (and 7 months, if you wanna get technical). We usually go out for dinner, sometimes he'll surprise me and take me somewhere romantic for a walk. (Like back to the beach where he proposed to me under the stars).

For our first anniversary he "re-proposed" with an eternity band he bought for me on our honeymoon and saved for the anniversary
He also has shown up the last 2 years at work for lunch on our anniversary, bringing me a rose for each year we've been married

It will be 5 years as of next year march 25th. To date we have been pretty poor, as the cats and bills come before our celebrateing. We normaly relive our first date.. but I hope something changes... I'm getting sick of chilidogs >.>

Happy anniversary hun. John and I have been together for 9 years and married for 3, to be honest we didn't do anything on out last anniversary which was June 17th, even though we are married we seem to think more of our getting together anniversary which is 9th October. Also we hardly ever go out as we have 3 children and finding a babysitter is difficult and money is another issue. x

We'll be married 6 years October 2nd. We don't do much to celebrate--we have the best of intentions, but something always goes wrong. Two years ago, I wanted to go to the gun range for an afternoon (yeah, I realize that's sooo romantic!), but I came down with a cold, and thought the gun powder would further irritate my sore throat, so we didn't. Last year, DH's brother stayed all week on his vacation (anime festival in our town; saved him paying for a hotel). This year, we'll both be on "vacation" (note the quotation marks!). Some vacation--a week of (DRUM ROLL) : HOME IMPROVEMENTS!!!! Yes, that's right, ladies and gentlemen, a romantic trip for two in Southeastern Pennsylvania, in our foyer! We'll being doing such over-the-top romantic things, such as re-treading our staircase, and building new bannisters and balusters! Can you feel the passion???? And, for even more excitement (we'd better check with our doctor first, just to make sure we're healthy enough to experience such excitement), WE'LL BE INSTALLING CROWN MOULDING IN THE FOYER!!!

Gee, with all of this excitement on our previous anniversaries, I can't wait until year #7!

Someone please force us to go on a cruise...?

Happy Anniversary!

We just got married May 27th. I am not really sure what our plans or for our anniversary, but it will probably involve going out to dinner. DH is not terribly creative about these things...

We have an anniversary coming up.

I love being married to a great guy.

I don't know what our plans are, we have talked about some things, but it won't be anything too big this year.

Here... or There... Hmmm
I am married, I have been married 5 years this christmas, and we have been together for 13 years. On our anniversary we go out to dinner, but other than that we do not really do anything special. Through out the year we pretty much get whatever the other person wants when we can afford it so we don't really do much in the form of presents then. It's also really hard to surprise my DH with anything, he always knows what it is no matter how it's boxed or wrapped!
