Does anybody here have experience with using alkaline foods to try to adjust the body's pH to fight diseases?

Some people (research scientists and doctors) believe that cancer cells thrive in acidic conditions. They believe that eating alkaline foods helps the body to change from being acidic to more alkaline, and the cancer cells cannot thrive in those conditions.

Other people say there is no proof that cancer cells thrive in acidic conditions in the body just because they do in the lab. Also, that the body adjusts its own pH and you can't change it through food.

It seems to me that eating more alkaline foods, or vegan foods, is healthful and will help our bodies function better. But if eating alkaline foods keeps cancer at bay, why aren't we hearing more about it? Are there vegans with cancer?

Any ideas or experiences on this are appreciated.

There is a whole web community that subscribe to that theory: www.crazysexylife.com . I joined that group when I began juicing and went vegetarian a few years ago, although I don't visit much anymore. I do plan to go back as the time for immune system reboot comes closer.

Hope this helps.

yes, i've heard about that too. also check out Albert Carter. he has quite a few books out on rebounding exercise. rebounding helps stimulate your lymphatic system and promotes healthy cells, strenghtens the immune system andhelps prevent cancer and other diseases. i got a rebounder and love to exercise on it. itcan't hurt. i'll see if i can find the link

a good book i got a while back from amazon re: the alkaline diet is
Death by Diet by Robert R. Barefoot isbn 0-9633703-3-2

a good one on rebounding exercise is
The new Miracles of Rebound Exercise by Albert E. Carter
isbn 0-9619041-2-7

here's one of the youtube links

i love to swim or go walking/hiking. but anything else as far as exercise goes forget it. i bought a small rebounder for under $50 and i love it. it's supposed to be the best and most beneficial exercise under the sun.
i also got a book on order from amazon by Albert Carter called 'The Cancer Answer'.
