We did order an elliptical....it should come in two weeks or so. We ended up with a Sole E95 and we got it at Dick's. They were out of them, so we ordered it online at the store and got it for the sale price. Plus, we signed up for the Rewards program there and ended with $60+ dollars in a gift card back. Free shipping, but we did have to pay for assembly, which was fine with DH. That way, if something goes wrong, they assembled it; we didn't.

The big thing with the elliptical is the height of our ceiling. We had to take my height (5.4) and add two feet (7.4). We have 8-foot ceilings, so I should be OK. We're not sure about DH though. He'll only have a couple inches of head space...that could get ugly.

My niece thinks she might want our treadmill; it's a Nordic Trac C2000...we bought it back in 2005, I think. They looked at it the other day and she thinks it's in really good shape. She likes the idea of the fans and the different programs you can do on it. She wants to talk to her husband, but she thinks they'll probably buy it. I only used it during the winter months and even then, most of the time I walked outside over my lunch break at work.

I'm excited! I've been wanting an elliptical for several years now.

Congrats! I always eyed that one when I worked at Dick's! Keep an eye out for your rewards cert. and dont let it expire when you get it! Also they should send you an email when they are doing double points! Those are great days to buy big items! Thats when we got our GPS!
I would love one but we dont have the room for it! Enjoy it!

Ooh, congratulations on your elliptical I'm so jealous! I can't wait to hear how you like it.

I was looking at the ones in walmart the other day just because I miss the work out the elliptical gives, terribly. But I can't think where I would put the thing in my tiny apartment.

Nuh uh...might give me away!
Congrats!! DH wants one but he refuses to pay big money for exercise equipment we might not use. We do, however, have a used treadmill upstairs. My boss sold it to us for $50 but I haven't been using it (yet). I'm soo exhausted lately that I've been focusing on getting rest. But I am hoping that in a couple of weeks, I can start using it to walk in the mornings, so I can get in my 30 minutes of walking a day.

Thanks! I'm so excited. I figure I have about two weeks to go before it gets here and is assembled. My sister says she's coming down to exercise with me...I think she's as excited as I am.

It is big and it looks so much larger than the treadmill. But there's room for it in the bedroom as long as we're careful about how we place it there.....when we built our house, we made two bedrooms into the master bedroom, so we're OK for space.

And yes, I will use it; there was never any question about that because DH knows I'm serious about exercise. Since the knee operation, my treadmill days are definitely over and I doubt I'll be able to get outside to walk my 3 miles either, although the verdict is still out on that. I made it to 2 miles about a month ago, but have hanging in right there as my dr told me not to push the knee too much. Both my dr and my physical therapist said that an elliptical is, by far, better than a treadmill and there's a lot less stress on the joints. And the workout is better. So we'll see!

Thanks guys!
