No doubt this isn't a new topic, but I was wondering if anyone has any advice.
We have an adult cat, we've had him for about 18 months, and until about 4 or 5 months ago he was fine at night.
Recently, though, he seems to want to go in and out several times during the night. If you ignore him he gets destructive: if he's inside, he claws the carpet until you get up to let him out; if he's outside, he will claw holes in the window screen - the screen is virtually useless now.
Because we live in a rental, we cannot put in a cat door, and the window doors are far too expensive.
Any ideas, it's driving us up the wall!
