Starting my diet this week made me think about my New Years Resolutions. Obviously I didn't stick to one of them since I've started my diet again. Maybe this time I'll actually follow through with it!

Another resolution I had was to quit biting my nails. I actually stopped doing that last month...I'm only 6 months behind!
But, my nails are so long that I've actually have to file them down! So, at least I stuck to one of them.

What about you?

I didn't make any New Years Resolutions, so I guess you can say that I stuck to it. Meaning I resovled nothing and I have made no changes.

Yeup!!

My was to stop letting people be mean to me, or use me so to say. And thus far to the best of my knowledge I haven't been a push over and let anyone do it.

However, my other, to meet, fall madly in love, and marry a stunningly hanson HOTT and well to do man has yet to happen. But I'm keeping my hopes up I still have half a year left.

I don't really make New Years resolutions. I may promise myself to have a better year but that's as specific as I get!

Shell, there's nothing that says you have to have been successful 24/7 at your resolutions. At least you're trying! And congrats on not biting your nails! That's not an easy one. My sister struggled with that for many years.

I had stopped biting them for 4 years and then they all broke off. Of course, I started picking at them and then came the biting. I just got tired of my fingers constantly hurting! Plus, my hands look so much better now especially when I wear my jewelry!

I made NO resolutions. I quit biting my nails, 22 years ago and I really don't want to quit smoking, just yet.

Mine was to buy a car....and I did that.

Though I never did make any resolutions to wash it weekly...in fact...at all....though I do check the oil and water and all that jazz.

I can identify with that. I can't run out of clean undies, though - Bill washes mine with his!

I didn't make any this year - it's not really my thing.

One year I did make a resolution and that was to buy my friends gifts for their birthday I told people my resolution and then all of a sudden I had more friends lol.

Good Luck for those still trying to accomplish their goals.

A couple years ago... okay, it was more like 5 or so, I had a terrible potty-mouth. So that year, I made a resolution to stop swearing. And each year for the next couple years, I just kept renewing the same one. But since then, I really haven't made any new ones... but I have mostly given up swearing... mostly...

swearing - there's a good one.

You see, the thing with swearing is: it's so damn satisfying! and I've learned a whole new respect for the 'c' word - you all know what I'm talking about. I HATED that word, it used to make me cringe when I heard it. Then I watched "The Vagina Monologues" and I Love it now. It's SO satisfying. A definite must-see for those of you who haven't seen it already.

I think I made a resolution to get my drivers licence - and I am! woo hoo.

I still absolutely 100% abhor the c word. And that's even after watch The Vagina Monologues which I did enjoy thoroughly but I cannot bring myself to utter it.

i made a new years resolution to quit smoking, but then ended up quitting a week before the first as planned so does that count? I do still bum hits now and then at the bar but since I only go to the bar like once or twice a month I don't consider that smoking. In any case I haven't bought a pack since december 19th so that's not bad..

And I never really minded the "c" word.. I don't understand what the big thing is about it really.. I try not to curse but I gave up the "F" word before the "c" word.. Does it have an evil double meaning or something? I do like the "p" word way better than the "c" word tho so if for some reason I were to use one I would use the "p" one.. unless I was mad and called someone a "c"face.. But i'd have to be MADDDD... A word I can't even think about without being disgusted is the "n" word. I have never said it and when i hear stupid rednecks saying it i want to punch them in the face. I don't mind being called a honkey but cracker and kraut bother me lol. And sand "n" also reallly bothers me, especially since a relative of mine is arabian.. I hate when people I think of as intelligent just lose all my respect when they make racial slurs..

I made a New Years resolution 15 years ago with my wife and her girlfriend to quit smoking. They lasted 2 days....I have not smoked at all since that day.....
