A tiny bit, I used to speak more spanish but when I learned French I sort of lost the Spanish

Hi there! You will have fun doing this. Here is my question for hte day - you are British but you live in France. What originally brought you here to live, and why did you choose this region of Normandy?

It was sort of a mistake that I ended up in France, my late husband John never liked living on an island (England) as whenever you wanted to go somewhere you either had to take a plane or ship, this either cost a lot of money or they were on strike when you wanted to go. Also after 9 years of being in the army he liked to travel a lot, and if we lived on the main land (Europe) we only needed to get in the car.

For a long time we looked in Spain but never found anything that suited us, finally a friend suggested we looked in France, we werenâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t particularly interested but looked anyway, the moment we saw the cottage we fell in love with it, sold up in England and moved over to France, we didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t speak the language or have a job but 22 years later I am still here.

Sadly John died 6 years ago but he loved it here and so do I, so even then I didnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t go back to England, I still own the cottage that we bought and rent it out as a gite (holiday cottage) I could never sell it as there are to many good memories there, but now I am a farmers wife and live 3 minutes down the road.

When I lived and worked in London, it was a regular thing to see actors out and about.

No I donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t like things like that where they are patting each other on the back for a job well done, there are a lot of other professions that are far more deserving and you never hear anything about them.

Acting was never my thing, a bit too shy I guess, but I was in the school choir and we used to put on things for the old folks.

This is a difficult one as there are so many places I would like to see, but I guess the Galapagos islands would be at the top of the list

I run a (very) small normandy chat forum, I didnt start it a friend that died did so I sort of got stuck with the running of it, so I go on that every day.

No, I dont really have time, I come on here and my forum, check my e mails and thats about it

7) Any hobbies?
Before I married my husband and became a farmer I had my own garden design company, so I suppose gardening is now my hobby, but I am afraid that this year I have let it slide, what with the pups (quite grown now) and the pigs roaming the garden, I was fighting a loosing battle

. Next year the pigs will be bigenough to go out into the field and hopefully the dogs will have calmed down a bit

I used to catch snakes when I was a kid but, as we only have one poisonous snake in the uk it wasnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t too crazy although my mum was never that happy about it.

Jealousy is my main hate but hypocrisy it also high on the list.

Sunset, the colours are usually much better, and I am not always awake at sunrise.

On the farm we donâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t often go anywhere as it is difficult to get away, but sometimes we manage a trip to the coast (about twice a year) but we never go on weekends as there are always to many people.

So many things I would like to see its hard to say, but Glapogos, South Africa, China to name just a few.
