Clumping Litter stuck in kittens paws

I made the mistake and left the kittens water bowl in her pen. She dumped it and now has clumping litter stuck between his pads.

How in the world do I get this off of him?
He only had surgery 3 days ago so I can't bath him.

I don't know what to do!

Thank so much...

Just use a wet washcloth and wipe it off. It's not fun and it takes awhile, but eventually, you'll get it off.

or baby wipes if you have those... did the vet recommend a non clumping for a while?

The vet didn't recommend not using a non clumping litter.

I will work a way at his paws and get it all off.

We have to keep him quarantined for 5 to 7 days because he came home with fleas, ear mites and tapeworms.

Thank you to everyone for their replies it has been very helpful.

What kind of surgery did he have?

Actually water will just set it in. You can use Crisco Shortening that loosens it up quick enough with a warm damp cloth applied to wipe off the shortening- nuke the cloth in your microwave for about 15 seconds

When it happened to Attitude(no idea how it got there, guess she stepped in a wet spot or had wet paws) I just picked it out by hand. She has long hair, almost totally covering the bottom of her feet so only a little got stuck in between her toes, most of it was on the fur covering her pads. She wasn't thrilled with me doing it but she let me.
