I'm taking the new girl (posted pics of her recently in fur pics) to the vet within the next two weeks, and if she gets a clean bill of health, I'm bringing her into the house.
She has definitely decided to stick around and I've been adopted. But Sissy is NOT having it, and has been attacking the new girl (now being called Squeaky for her squeaky meow) rather viciously.
I gave Squeaky a Revolution treatment tonight, and Sissy is due to the vet within two weeks for her rabies shot, FELV booster and FVRCP 3 year continuum. So I'm going to call the vet, explain my situation, let them know my cash budget, see what they can do to help me, and tote Squeaky along to the appointment.
I have no idea if Squeaky is spayed, and I am praying that she already is.
The shots alone are going to cost me a lot (because I have to get her combo tested first, plus pay for Sissy's visit.)
I'm in a REALLY tough situation financially, but I just can't let Sissy and Squeaky try to kill each other. Squeaky's poor, pretty little face is already all marked up from Sissy slashing at her.
I know we are not supposed to ask for financial assistance on TCS, but if anyone has any suggestions how I can get some help to help this little gal, I'm open to ideas.
If she needs to be spayed, I can apply to the local humane society for assistance with that cost, but that's all they'll do for me. The shelter here is a high-kill shelter, so I just CANNOT take her there. And it's a poor county, with more and more abandoned animals out fending for themselves.
Not sure what else to do but to take her inside. Looks like I'll be eating a lot of rice this month, LOL. And I do NOT need SEVEN cats - need that many like I need a hole in my head. And I'm already 3 over the city limit.
