we've got two stray kittens who have been hanging out in our yard, their owners abandoned mama and babies when they moved and we have been feeding them for the past few weeks. we are taking them in today to get tested for feline leukemia... if they are negative we will be bringing them into our house. i don't even know what we will do if they are positive.

catching them will be fun as well! little girl-cat is lovey dovey and easy to handle, but little boy-cat is going to be hard to catch. we'll have to lure him with food.

please cross your fingers and send good vibes... these are sweet babies.

next we need to t-n-r the two possible mama kittehs, both of whom are totally feral.

Young kittens can give false positives. So if they're positive, ideally, you wait and retest at a later date.

little girl cat tested negative! unfortunately we did not manage to catch the boy cat, he got away from us when we cornered him.

we left food out for him, we are going to try to get him inside soon at least. the woman at the clinic gave our housemate the number of a place to rent humane traps. she's going to pick one up as soon as possible.

i am so sad about the little guy... it's looking like it's going to rain tonight and we just scared him out of his safe place and cat-napped his sister
