Meet ups:

I know some other members have had meet ups in the past and was wondering if anyone would be interested in one in the East Tennessee region? Just curious!

Its too bad you are in eastern TN instead of western as I live near Clarksville, TN but maybe once I get a new car I could travel a bit more.

I am going to be in Lebanon TN from 9/21-9/26 My sis would probably take me or I could borrow a car from my brother as long as I could confirm that y'all aren't gonna kidnap me We could me at a pet shelter or wherever. If you're interested, send me a PM so we can use our private emails

I will have to see if I work any of those days and if I could come up with a car as mine doesn't work and I am usin my dads but if we can't do it then maybe once I get on my feet better I can make a trip to knoxville.

I didn't see when I replied that you are originally from california I wish I could be sure that I could arrange something. But with using his car I am on uncertain ground.

I wouldn't mind doing a big road trip and swinging thru and picking everyone up. It would be a real adventure!! BTW, if it sounds crazy, I sometimes have to do a "California turn around" from Bishop to San Diego - so driving is second nature to me( It's the only way my grandson can come up for breaks, unless I fly him up to Reno, which is only 200 miles away, but expensive!). I think that Knoxville is 3 hours away from Lebanon, not sure. I do know that 4 hours of driving east puts me in North Carolina. Maybe there is a place to meet up that is somewhere in between?

Im sure we could find a half way point! Im pretty open to driving too! I will just drag the beau along

Would probably have to see when/where it is, as we are in south east SC and some parts of TN is quite a drive! But there doesnt seem to be many members in SC so I expect we'll have to drive a bit

I am in Knoxville and I am totally in! If we have to drive somewhere to meet I am willing to go a few hours in whatever direction. Or I don't mind hosting at my house if we want to meet in Knoxville!

I live in Ohio, and we travel to TN a bit. My brother actually lives in Nashville, and we are heading to Nashville for his wedding in Nov.
We also were married in Gatlinburg last year We hope to one day move to Knoxville area to live.
(Just wanted to share our TN love )

our house would be another one that would work for a Knox meetup. We are right off of 75! We could totally get something planned!

Well, I'll be in Lebanon from Wed. 9/22 to Sun. 9/26, altho I may be flying out on Sunday. I'll be on vacation, so it's mostly up to the others as to where and when! I hope that we can make this happen

UGH we lost another person at work this week! So we dont know are schedule yet. I am all for figuring something out though! I will let you guys know when I hear what my schedule is for that time frame!

I'd be more available on a weekend if possible, but let me know what you all come up with, it'd be great to finally meet some of the TCS'ers!! We just drove across the country and back for a 2 week vacation, so driving is nothing but fun to us!

I'm available anytime for the most part. The weekend of the 25th sounds like a great time to me since Susan (catsknowme) will be roughly in the area.

I too am willing to pick people up within a reasonable distance, or carpool. (If you don't mind my crappy yet reliable car!)

I can't wait I am so excited to get a chance to meet some folks. Perhaps we can plan something diabolical for SS!

Welp I have bad news I got my schedule in from work and I have to work most of the days you will be in TN. Who knows maybe when I take my next vacation next spring we can arrange a meetup but as it stands everything that could get in my way has gotten there.

OK I just found out my sister is having her baby shower the weekend of the 25th...

Waaahhh!!! this is a real disappointment. Maybe next time I'm in TN....
