Does anyone else's cat do this?

Penny "clips" her own nails. That's right. She uses her teeth and bites into her nails to "clip" them. She always does it to just the right length.

Tolly spends a lot of time grooming his nails. I never thought he might be trimming them, though he sure does chew them alot. He still needs a nail trim every six weeks though.

Imhotep does this all the time and truthfully it grosses me out, even though I know it's completely natural.

yep - just part of the grooming process.

Tanna and Blasa chew on their back claws a lot but never really seem to do much to the length.
Tanna also has a bad habit of trying to chew on my nails, she'll even try it when I'm sleeping.

Ah yes, lol, Ku Ku does that, too.
I still have to trim once in a while since she always leaves out dew claws, also tends to focus on right paw...seems she's "right-handed"
Besides, she does quite a good job grooming them

I say more power to her! I only have to clip them once in a blue moon. She's very obsessive over it.

Awww, she takes her grooming tasks very seriously.....!

The other day I was clipping my own toe nails. At the sound of the first snip Jennie and Mazy disappeared.

Tolly just sat there and watched me, and he had this look of astonishment on his face....he just couldn't believe I would do that to myself voluntarily!

When I snip his claws he looks away, he just can't bear to watch. hehe
