The little sneak. He managed to get out today, right before I went to work, so I couldn't stay to get him back in, but my fiance was going to do it. He looked for him for an hour with no luck. I didn't find out that he didn't get him back till I got home, 4 and a half hours later. Luckily, he seems to have curled up in a corner of the garage and took a nap. He was outside the door when Pat went out to look for him right before I came home. The scariest part, is that he didn't have his collar on- the cat safety ones are easily removed by my kitties. So, this weekend when I buy crates, they are getting new small dog collars. I am also putting spray bottles on either side of the door, so that any kitty that approaches gets sprayed... That was the scariest 10 minutes of my life, when I thought my little man was gone! Though, he isn't very little anymore. He has to be at least 8 pounds now... and 5 months old! Crazy to think that just 4 months ago he wasn't even half a pound!

dog collars aren't really safe... have you tried Beastie Bands? they attach differently than regular safety collars - the cats may not be able to removed them. you can also cut them to fit, both length & width [sometimes important w/kittens or small cats].

Very cool! Do they have a spot to allow for their name tags? I like them to have them- if they get out in my area, no one would look for a microchip.

On some of those, the lighter ones, you can write information with a black marker.
