A true hero

There was almost a school shooting this week in my home town. This was the sister school to my high school, and where my best friends mom teaches. Very scary thing to have happened, but incredibly grateful for such a brave woman to be on staff to stop this.

I hate these kind of stories, everytime I read one I cant help but worry about my girls who are only in elementary school but still what happens when they get older, into middle or high school. Im sure everyone who goes to school in their school district thinks that could never happen there. But what about Virginia Tech, or Columbine, how many people there thought that could never happen. Each and every day its like a build up of worrying wondering if one day Im going to turn on the radio and hear something like that or my mom is going to call me telling me something happened. Its a sad thing when people are scared of their kids going to school.

they still dont know why he decided to go to that school... which is also super scary. There are maybe 5 schools within a few minutes from where he was living, and the only connection was his brother was a janitor at Central.
