I just visited a really nice little pet store in Murfreesboro today called Stones River Pet Products. It was the closest place to me that sold the new cat food I want to switch to. The place was very small, and EVERYTHING in their was all natural! I loved it! Treats, medicines, vitamins, food, you name it! The guy behind the counter, Jim, was very nice too and very informative. They even have rescue animals in the back and give discounts to those that adopt (just bring in adoption slips) plus other discounts (if you are a student, etc.).

He told me about this powder stuff they have too. It's basically the remnants of an extinct sea creature taken from the bottom of the ocean, and ground up. It's all natural (nothing added whatsoever) and he told me it's great for parasites (any parasite!). You can mix a little into the food for stomach parasites, or rub/wash it onto the fur to fight fleas and ticks. He even uses it for himself! He said he has issues with blockages in his arteries so he adds this stuff into his coffee if he feels something is wrong and it clears it right up. He also told me that a guy came in and got it for his pond (unsure why) but ended up feeding it to his horses. He said that the horses are now acting a lot younger and healthier and their coats are looking the best he's ever seen!

I'll be sure to get the name of this stuff from him next time I go. I'll probably purchase some (VERY cheap! Beats buying expensive chemicals and such to fight parasites). Any who may know what I'm talking about, feel free to say! He called it by the scientific name I'm sure, that's why I can't recall it.

Anyways...if you live in this area I highly suggest you check this place out!

Well if they ever get any pets, that's a great place!

The stuff he was telling me about is called diatomaceous earth food grade. Anyone ever heard of it?
