Hello

Got my cats to the vets, after being vaccinated, can they go out to the bathroom?

They are indoor cats which use the outside for bathroom.

It is always more dangerous for a cat to go outside. Can you leash train them?

Is there a possibility of a litter box inside?

I would try to train them to a litter box. Also if you let them be indoor/outdoor, you are going to face the flea issue and having to put flea medication on them.

If you can leash train them, I don't see why not. I'm sure it would be nice to have less of a mess in the litter box. As someone else said, make sure to flea treat them.

I don't think it's a good idea to let them go out by themselves though. There are just too many sickos out there. Someone broke my mom's cat's leg (the vet said that with the angle of the break, it was intentional), and there's a cat in my complex that had someone wrap a wire hanger around his tail, causing half of it to fall off. Plus, there's the threat of cars and other animals, of course.

Keeping tabs on litter box activity is a very important way to know the health status of your cats. I highly recommend you put litter boxes in the house and encourage your cats to use them.

How will you ever know if a cat has diarrhea, or constipaiton, or urinary tract problems (which can be fatal in a male if left too long) if you don't have litter boxes, and don't know what is normal for them?

If I remember, or at least followed your story correctly. You're in the UK?, cats used to be unneutered because you feared the side effects of it and added a bit of your own feelings into it (wouldn't want that done to yourself, etc) and they used to be outside as much as they wanted until there was an issue with an unspay neighbor cat.

I think you've come pretty far since then!
I know the prevailing attitude over there is to let them go out if they wish and that's up to you. Inside is safer. I remember you have a rather large kitty (Bubbles), too, so you may need to look at plastic storage containers if you can't find a litter box to comfortably fit him.

Other than that, try getting as big of boxes as you can and try different litters. Even sprinkling a little dirt or leaves on top of the litter. Even if you do end up letting them out some, it's a good idea to have a litter box(es) inside.

Our cats have a way of me, they are indoor and outdoor, but they can't leave our property now. All cat prove, my consern was that our puppy (lab) runs with other dogs, and is vacinated already, didn't want him to give them anything.

I also know where each of my cats go to the bathroom, and only 1 has had a problem in the last 2-3 years.

WE phoneed the vets who said thats normal, he should go back to normal when he has got used to the new food brand. (we give our cats the best), the owners of the kitten before didn't.

Are you telling your cats this great outdoor experience is for a bathroom trip only?

Personally, I would not let mine do that for many reasons.
