General Blue Buffalo Q

Thread Starter
I noticed the shape of Blue Buffalo dry has changed (we use the kitten food).

I am curious if anyone is aware of a formula change as well?

In addition, one of my kitties isn't taking too much to the shape change (it looks eerily like Science Diet now) and I am not sure what to do about that. While she does eat, she plays with it more and just does strange things.

Does anyone have any suggestions about that as well?

Thanks!

I just talk to a Blue rep who has been doing that for a while( ie a number of years).. she did mention some changes but nothing about shape.. I would take the food back where you bought it

I did not forsee such a situation happening with one of my babies not taking to the shape... and since we put the food in a rubbermaid container, we cannot take it back (they will chew the bag if we do not).

I don't know how to explain it but the SD looking pieces actually look a bit more "oiley" <-- does that even make sense?? Before they were really dry kibble and now, not so much.

I will call. Thanks for the info.

oil is commonly sprayed after cooking on dry cat food... likely your batch just got more...

I checked when the food changed shape and there was no forumla change. With cats being textural eaters it may just be an adjustment for your kitty.
