and I love it! Ok, I've only used it once (hey, I just got it last night), but I was absolutely amazed by the crud it picked up. I could actually hear the grains of cat litter being sucked into it. What's even better was that I got it on sale, and had a "take an extra 15% off everything" coupon.

Thank you to everyone who recommended this vacuum. I can't wait to try the pet hair attachment!

How much does that thing weigh?

I have two uprights - and I've about had it with the lack of maneuverability.

The Eureka Boss has great suction - but that's all I can say about that machine, and another one - a brand no longer produced - Sharp - it's okay - but all the plastic accessory holders have broken off. So I have to carry the hose while I vacuum (no it can't be removed from the machine) - all-in-all a comedy for someone watching me.

My next vacuum is probably going to be a canister - that way I won't have to lift the whole thing to vacuum off the furniture.

Vacuums, can't live with 'em, can't live with 'em.

It weighs about 15 pounds.
I used it again this morning: this time I attacked the sofa with the pet hair attachment. OMG! I was amazed at how much hair it sucked up. (also a little embarrassed that my sofa had that much cat hair on it
)
Used the crevice tool for the first time and, again, was amazed by the suction. It picked up everything!
The only complaint I can come up with is that my long hair gets wrapped around the brush on the pet hair attachment. I'll just have to make a point of yanking it out of there after I've used it.

Congratulations! I KNEW you would love it! I bought one for my son & DIL recently. They are new parents of triplet girls still in the hospital, and because they have 2 cats, I wanted their place to be cat fur free when the girls come home.

BTW, I think it only weighs 8 lbs. It is very easy to carry around and the long hose extender would work well for carpeted stairs with the pet hair attachment.

Yep! Three little girls, born Aug. 9 abt. 2.5 lbs. each. They are now over 3 lbs and doing very well! We're grateful and blessed!
