Knocks cups over?

If you leave a cup anywhere, Penny will knock it over. She'll bat at it and knock it over, then run for the hills. Any ideas as to why?

It's just one of those mysterious things cats do. Cats love Gravity Experiments. The solution of course is to just not leave cups out.

Where do you live? I think our cats must be long-lost siblings! Lol!

Seriously though, sometimes I think they are playing, and sometimes I think they are trying to irritate us! Lol! They are just like kids!

Does the cup have liquid in it? Chickster loves to test glasses with liquid in it, and plays in them, but inadvertantly (and sometimes not) turns them over. That's when I discovered (Boo did it too) If I put the glass inside a high-sided small bowl, they couldn't turn it over! And if it spilled, it went in the bowl, not the floor!

Otherwise, like Otto said, yeah, cats are like scientists. Always pressing those buttons then wondering, then pressing them again LOL

She knocks them over whether they have liquid in them or not. It's very amusing. We've learned not to leave them anywhere except for counters, since they aren't allowed up there (for some reason they still get on the tables, even though they aren't supposed to be up there).

Sterling does this, too. Especially if there was Diet Coke in the glass. Even if it's empty, he'll stick his nose down it until it won't go any farther. Knock it over. Play with it.

Dingbat.

She does it because she can! No human logic can explain the workings of a cat's mind in some situations.

Gus knocks over cups. Lucky prefers to go in my daughters room and clear her night table. Apparently coins, pens and pencil belong on the floor.
