I joined this site awhile ago, but I just started posting more actively, so I thought I'd say hi and introduce my kitties
I first had Scarlett, who was the sweetest, friendliest girl. But she had lots of health problems, and we had to put her to sleep last month
We got Oscar a year ago. He was totally enamored of Scarlett
, she was completely indifferent toward him
. But she did give him a bit of a smacking now and then, just to keep him in line:
He's not the brightest bulb. He often jumps in while I'm taking a shower and then gets a look on his face that says "Oh s*#^! There's water in here! If only I'd realized that the last 786 times I've done this!" and he jumps back out. But at least he's cute:
He has a teddy bear, who he loves. He grooms it, then bites and kicks the crap out of it, then grooms it again. It's a complicated relationship.
Last month, a few days after Scarlett died, I got Romeo. I love my rebound kitty. I had just gone into the shelter to buy a vitamin supplement for Oscar, but he came up and gave me kisses, and I was putty in his paws.
As you can see, he's a very rare breed: the domesticus fatticus. What can I say, he enjoys a good kibble. He loves people, cats, and dogs. I didn't even do the kitty separation period recommended by the shelter- he was fast friends with Oscar. He's also super friendly and mellow, and sleeps like this:
My little cousin, Tori, absolutely loves him, and followed him around, squealing, picking him up, kissing him, etc. He was a really good sport about it, though I fear he may need to undergo counseling for Post Traumatic Tori Syndrome:
So those are my kitties, I'm so lucky to have them
. Just wanted to say
to everyone
