Mike, I believe I am a little older than you so the thing I remember most on TV was Brylcream ads, a little dab will do you, all the girls will pursue you, simply rub a little in your hair. I guess when I could no longer find this product is when the girls stopped pursuing me.Originally Posted by mrblanche
Have you ever had a product you bought for years that just disappears? Something that was "just right?"
I'm wondering if maybe I'm overlooking something, but has Prell shampoo in the tube gone away? It made perfect sense. It was easy to travel with. It didn't leak. It was concentrated, so you don't have to use a lot. And it smelled good and washed my hair well.
Now, I can't seem to find it.
By the way, one reason Prell made sense to me was that it was, as I said, concentrated. If you look on the label of most shampoos, the first ingredient is water. But water is heavy, and it costs a lot of money to transport. If the unnecessary water in our products was removed, we'd save a bundle just on the transportation. Why truck water all over the country?
There was a time I used Brylcreem. But it was nearly 50 years ago!Originally Posted by Persi & Alley
