Possible Rabies Vaccine Side Effects

I took my male, age 5, neutered cat to the vet today, and he got antibiotics for a UTI, dewormer for tapeworms, and a 3 year rabies vaccine. Tonight he is twitching a lot in his sleep, probably dreaming, but periodically wakes up and gives a strange, almost confused/scared sounding meow and then tries to bite me. This is very unusual behavior for him, he is normally a sweetheart. Is this possibly a reaction to the vaccine or one of the other medicines he was given earlier today?

He could be in pain, thus the reaction.
My Bugsy had a horrible reaction to this vaccine (3yr rabies); he was in pain for 4 days, limping, with a high fever for a couple of days, red swollen eyes, and very depressed.
My vet had to give him 2 different injections a couple of days later to "neutralize" these effects - he was fine after that. It was very very scary. This was the only time he took a non-purevax vaccine, and the last.
If he has other effects, call your vet.

Thanks for the information. Purevax was the vaccine he got last year when I first adopted him, but this time (I just moved recently, so it was a new vet) they did a 3 year vaccine. I will call in the morning to see if anything needs to be done.
