Last week I made the decision to re-join a gym. Gold Gym is building a new facility about 3-5 minutes from work. I also made the big investment and bought 12 hour long sessions with a personal trainer. We met Tuesday to discuss goals etc and I meet with him next 6 weeks at 7 am! Tomorrow is the first one.
I have to bring in a food diary/any supplements I take tomorrow too.

I've watched the trainers work with other gym members the past couple of days and they seem to be pretty tough/intense.

So tomorrow off to gym for 90 minute, work 7 hours, run to pick up a dessert as we have guests coming tomorrow evening for a cookout!
I'll post Friday on how it went (if I have enough strength
)

Wow! Sounds like a good start committing to the training.
I have been thinking I need to start up a workout routine just to be in better shape. Getting older has made me realize it doesn't all bounce back where it was before I had kids.
I did a week free try out at our local gym and I was sore the whole next week in places I didn't even know I had muscles. I decided then and there I couldn't do it. I may take up Yoga, less intense for me.

Good luck!

If you think yoga is less intense, you've obviously never tried yoga. I usually skip the yoga parts of my workouts because I can't handle it.

Gail, good luck with your new program. Hope you can stick with it and get in shape.

Sorry it has taken so long for an update.

The guy doesn't mess around!! I was pretty sweaty after the hour long session then still had to do some cardio!

I was sore in spot Friday morning but nothing really bad. However I did put in 5 hours of landscaping Friday morning and "hit the wall" in terms of fatigue. So I left, the job site drove home, ate and took a good 45-50 minute nap! Then a soak in the whirlpool tub! We had an out of town birthday party to attend so I could't just lay around.

Session #2 Tuesday at 7 am!!
