Since I've had Lightbulb, I've always fed Purina Kitten Chow. He's turning a year this month, and I've been researching better brands of cat food to transition him to. So far, the best I can tell is Orijen. No fillers, all fresh caught or free range, and some good veggies/fruits in the mix. Just wondering if anyone else uses this and what their opinion on it is? So far I've heard mostly good things, but just want to make sure I'm making the right choice. In the future I plan to switch to raw, but my wallet won't currently allow it.

So, thumbs up? Thumbs down? Thanks!

I buy it and it's excellent
Expensive but worth it. I usually mix in a bag of James Wellbeloved and some Royal Canin oral kibbles because JWB is excellent on the ingredients as well, especially if you have a cat that has a sensitive tummy like Jack

Thumbs way way up! I have fed both the regular Orijen, and now I feed the 6-Fish, as my cat Bugsy is allergic to chicken.
All my cats love both flavors, and do excellent on it. That is one food that I stand behind.

Excellent food. Our five kitties love the regular version and we are in the process of transitioning from EVO to Orijen.

A huge thumbs up. I used to talk to Champion Petfoods in Canada about their process, and was very impressed. I serve it to the kits about once a week. I do a mixed approach to cat food, wet and dry, like them to have a good variety.

Thanks everyone!! Hopefully Lightbulb enjoys it. I'll be offering some raw meat and fish every so often as well, and some canned food a few days a week.

When I did feeding trials for a good quality dry food to mix with the Cal. Natural I was feeding them, Orijen was the only one they went for.

Thumbs up here! My cats loved it and did great on it. The only reason I'm not feeding it right now is I can't figure out a way to keep my allergy cat from getting into it, so I have everyone on the limited ingredient food for now.
