Something weird happened

It happened just now, Charlie (my cat) was playing with my dog, they were playing tag, then he climbed on the couch, he was really active and alert, he scratched the couch and reached out the carpet hanging on the wall then roll on the couch and scratch again, he was not paying attention with my dog. Then suddenly he remained silent, he closed his eyes like he was sleeping but the tail still moving after about 30 seconds he became alert again and scratched the couch....non stop.

What does this mean?

Sounds like he could simply be very riled up. Dogs and cats will both do odd things when worked up in play (scratching/hopping/rolling, etc).

Sounds like he was having some SERIOUS FUN!!!!

.... and took a quick break....

Then went back to zoomy cat!
