My question deals with education. How far did you go in your schooling? Are you going to school now? How far do you want to go?

I have an AA degree in office procedures and accounting. I don't even use it and it is just an item on my resume. I alway wanted to go back to school and get my BA. But I would have to take some courses over as I forgot most of it.

HS with a few classes at local college. I started full time work 2 months after graduating so never went to college. I have no regrets and really don't think college is all that important - many graduates are not even working in the fields they took classes for and are at lower paying jobs.

I attempted college right away graduation from HS and only made it a year before I lost my scholarship and then I met my ex-husband, so you can imagine how important school was at that point

I'm going to college right now tho, took about 10 years off and am now pursuing a degree completely different than the one I was right after HS (psychology), but my end goal is the same... to be a counselor! I'm double-majoring in Human Resource management and e-Business management. I love school! I greatly enjoy learning

I have a really good job right now, but lay-offs are looming and in this economy, even with 11 years experience in the business world, with no degree, I'm toast

I have a B.A. in Geography with a concentration in Environmental Planning. I wasn't going to go for my Master's, but in the past few months, I've been giving it serious thought. My agency would pay for my Master's if I'd do it. It would be an M.S. in Community and Regional Planning. I'm considering enrolling for the spring 2011 semester.

I have a B.A. and a M.Sc., teaching certifications for regular and special ed (specializing in ECE and ESL), and I'm a licensed barber (in Texas). No more school for me right now, unless it's informal classes.

I graduated high school. I thought long and hard about going back to school however I would look around at all my friends and family with university degrees working jobs not in their field in positions that don't require degrees. It seemed like a big waste of time and money to me, as a lot of the people doing the same position I'm in are still paying of student loans.

I have a career I enjoy with a ton of perks, including getting to work from home if I want to. I have self educated myself in many ways, as I DO love to learn and I read constantly.

I graduated from high school, did a miserable attempt at Iowa State and only lasted one semester. I did get a certificate as a nursing assistant, but only used it for 6 months. I would LOVE to eventually go back to college, but I keep changing my mind on what I want to do. I've worked for 16 years in childcare so it makes the most sense to go for that, but I'm not sure if I want to lock my self into this career for the rest of my life. I love it but I'm starting to get burnt out. I do hate that since I don't have a degree I normally can't get a job as a lead teacher. The only reason I am one now is b/c an old boss hired me and knew my experience and capabilities enough to let me be lead.

I would love to be a nurse, or go for sign language (not sure what I'd use it for, though) b/c I LOVE signing. I also love animals so maybe vet assistant? See...I just can't make up my mind. I have a feeling I never will so I'll never end up going back.

I went trough High School and because I didn't take all the classes everyone else did,(I was a "special"student), instead of a Diploma I got a CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE.

I graduated high school. I taught myself how to type and always had jobs working in offices and banks. I am proud of those of you who finished college. I think it is very important for women so they can support themselves without having to depend on someone else.

I graduated high school, I hated school but my mom forced me to graduate. Nowadays getting a degree doesn't mean much since a lot of people wind up with lousy jobs anyway. With the way the economy is, you just can't get ahead and if your over 35 to 40, nobody will hire you anyway.

High School, with numerous lazy, lackluster attempts at college. Junior college, no less.

A good deal of money, time, "incomplete" classes, and a mediocre GPA later, I stand before you, an icon for the ambitionless.

I have completed a graduate degree (with a 4.0!). I am not using at the moment as far as my career. But maybe someday.

I went on to college right after high schoo and earned a BA in communications. Eventually went to grad school and ended up with an MA in religious studies. Both are helpful in my job as an editor at a Catholic newspaper.

I've thought about going back to school eventually to get my doctorate, probably in theology (only way my religious community would pay for it) but the concept doesn't excite me that much.

BA in accounting and sat for the CPA exam. I needed the degree and the certification for the very decent job I have now. My dad asked me if I was going for my doctorate but I did not need it to what I wanted to do. So the cost to benefit ratio was not in favor of more schooling.

I graduated from high school and then went down to Mississippi where I got the training for a vet tech and started training to be a vet assistant - neither of which I have certificates in because I moved since the crime rate was so high I wanted to move back up here to Michigan.

I never went further with my education because I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up. I really want to be an animal control officer, but in order to be one in Michigan, you have to go through police academy, and with my sports-induced asthma, I will never be a candidate for the PA. And besides, if I did make it through PA, doesn't mean I'd get stationed in the department I wanted.

I really wanted to be a marine biologist like my Aunt Liz - who I'm named after - but I'm not great in the sciences, or in the maths.

Now, what I want to do is get published, and to eventually find a job that I enjoy - besides my Bookworld job - that I feel like I'm making a difference. I don't know what that is, but I'll find it. Not that I don't love Bookworld, I just want out of Wendy's.

I have a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan and I definitely DO not plan to get another degree.

I went to a trade school after high school. I decided not to take the university or college route. None of the career aspects interested me and I didn't want to waste all that time and money. I'm glad I took the direction I did, because I couldn't be happier. I'm 23 years old and the majority of my friends went to university and still are either attending school or don't have jobs in their field. Not to mention all the debt they're still in, even years later for some of them. Sure, I may not make mounds of money, but I enjoy what I do and it didn't take me years or tens of thousands of dollars to get where I am today.
