When my husband and I found and took in a feral kitten, we were at a loss. A local Animal Advice Charity has been SO helpful and supportive. Two of their volunteers have come to our house twice to bring cages and traps, and they have been great at reassuring me. We don't have much money, but would like to do something to thank these women and the organization they give so much of their time to for their amazing help. We plan on clearing out our books and donating the discards to their charity book shop. But that isn't much. And we can make a cash donation, but it won't be sizable. What else can we do?

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Would you be able to give an hour or two of your time to helping them in some way? Even if you are not experienced in dealing with ferals you may be able to do some collection work or cleaning or organising. Or if you some other talent - drawing them a new poster, writing a letter to the local paper to praise their work, especially tying it to the Olympics. Use your imagination and talk to them. I think it is great that you want to do something and I am sure they will be grateful whatever you do.

If you can sew, crochet, or knit perhaps you can make throws for the kitties they rescue or make something for them to put in their annual auction or storefront. I know many crafters who make things for their local rescue groups for annual auctions/fundraisers.
