Well, it turns out Momcat had actually climbed up through the garage and gotten the kittens into the neighbour's side of the garage so after much coaxing by me, DH, the neighbours who originally found the kittens and the neighbours whose garage they were in, we now have 4 cats in our office.

Of course now comes the tricky part of keeping our two away from them until everyone has a clean bill of health and finding homes for everyone.

Wish me luck. Any and all advice is welcome.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For advice... we could use a few more details! Did you get mom too? (Kittens nursing? Not nursing?)

New kitties are in the office... you're able to close this off from the other cats?

I'd just get everyone to the vet as soon as possible. I don't know how old the kitties are, if they can be dewormed/deflead, but there are products that can be used on kittens dependent upon age/size.

But assuming the room is closed off to other kitties, just take off your shoes outside the office door and have something else to put on your feet when you go in. And the first thing you do when you leave that room is go wash your hands! If you suspect fleas, don't get kitties on clothes without using a blanket or something that stays in the room. We have coveralls we just pull on over everything and leave in "cat resue" area. But flea meds work so quickly these days it shouldn't be an issue. Main thing is shoes and hands.

Sorry for the lack of details - I was so shocked we got them.

We have mom and all three kittens. Kittens are still nursing, although they're pretty big, especially compared to mom. She's actually pretty friendly, whenever I'm in here we have a game of see how often she can headbuttt my hands, regardless of what I'm doing. We had a look and didn't see any fleas on mom or the kittens, but I dosed Mom with Revolution anyway since it said it was safe for lactating moms. We're hoping to get everyone to the vet either tomorrow or thursday. The office can be closed off. It's actually where Cotton lived when we were first introducing him to Freya.

Right now the kittens are nested in a giant dog crate we borrowed from the neighbours and covered in a blanket. They also have a cardboard box in there and an old bedsheet. It looks like we have one grey tabby with white, one brown tabby with white and one solid grey with white and man do they ever have some solid lungs on them. Mom is a black and white DMH with the tiniest, squeakiest voice

Mom is currently alternating between lounging on the floor while I type and hanging out in the office window. She's eating and drinking like a champ and has very good litterbox habits. When I head to work I'll close her back in the crate just for safety. Freya hasn't figured out how to open this door yet, but better safe than sorry.

What breaks my heart is that she's so young...We've been calling her Sybil since it seems wrong that she's a mom at her age.

Sounds like the perfect set-up! Good luck at the vet. (Or getting TO the vet LOL).

I'm sorry, I don't remember
- have you contacted any rescues/foster networks? for good health and easily-found homes.
