Tolly and Queen Eva, playing already

These taken yesterday, in sequence....I love the first two I wish I could have caught Tolly's leap in between, but you can get the gist of how he leaped over her as she jumped to grab him (for sound effects, you have to imagine Tolly saying mrrrUP with each jump he made)

(Queen Eva has been here one week, as of this morning)

Awwww, how heart warming it must be to watch them playing together! Precious!

Thanks for looking everyone. Queen Eva is just a joy. Tolly loves her. Mazy is coming around. Jennie is still cursing and swearing but Queen Eva figured out pretty quick that Jennie's potty mouth doesn't mean anything.

I'm going to have to update my siggy!

Yes, Jennie has a real trash mouth. I guess it's from surviving on her own for who knows how long and raising a family of four all by herself.

When she first came here the other cats were quite taken aback at her language.

Then one day.....she was dressing down Tolly something terrible. He was just sitting there, staring at her in astonishment as she hissed and spat and growled and swore.

Suddenly, in the midst of a particularly blistering harangue....she yawned. It was HILARIOUS! and no one took her seriously after that.

She's toned it down some, but has never completely lost the habit.

That made me laugh out loud again. I can only imagine what it's like for those of you who actually have Talkers among you. The most I can get out of Holland is a quiet "prrrrt!" when I ask her if she's hungry/ready to eat. If it weren't for that little sound I would swear she's mute.

My Sissy (rb 12/97) and my Bibbs (rb 3/05) were quiet kitties but most of my others, Bridge Angels and present, were/are talkers.

Tolly, Mazy and Jennie always have a lot to say. Queen Eva so far only talks when she is cuddling me, and she has a lot to say then, in a funny crackly voice, but is quiet when she is playing or investigating.

(When I am doing something to her she objects to, she screams in deafening tones)

Aww, little Eva is settling in so nicely!! I'm glad Tolly has accepted her at least as a playmate. Keep the pics coming!

Oh Erica, if you could only see this....Tolly is sick this morning and Queen Eva is beside herself with concern over him. Every time he goes down to the litter box and has more diarrhea and then the subsequent vomiting, she hurries down too, to watch over him.

He is now curled up here on my lap. Queen Eva, wanting to be near him tried to get on my lap too, but she kept slipping off, so she has squeezed herself on top my desk as close to Tolly as she can get.

He just now went into a stretch and Queen Eva gave one of her funny crackly meows, and reached both front paws out to touch him on the chest.

Wait! She's trying again, and I snapped it on my webcam!

will post it in a sec

Cute pics, they sure are having fun playing.
Aww, what a loving heart she has - surely you were all blessed to find each other.
It's great that Queen Eva has a playmate already. And, so touching that she's concerned about him. I hope Tolly feels better soon. The two of them together in your lap is just precious.

Wow, I'm so glad the integration is moving along so well. Lucky you .

Jennie sounds alot like Callie. She would sit there growling and grooming at the same time while "the boys" watched her, then she'd run away.

Oh...I just read page 2 of the posts and read how Tolly is sick today and Queen Eva is watching over him. Isn't that just the sweetest thing? I think they're going to be best buddies, don't you?

awwww how cute and i just love how queen eva is making sure tolly is ok

Aww, poor Mr. Tolly.. I hope he feels better soon! Nice that he's got a little nurse to looks after him. Too sweet!

Tolly is still feeling pretty sorry for himself, and sleeping in his Sick/Safe Spot under my bed. No food for him tonight, though he does have to have his phenobarbital, and I will give him a little more probios, too.

I can give him some sub q fluids if I think he's getting too dehydrated, but he's not that bad off yet.

Oh, my favorite color combination! What a striking "Halloween pair" you have there! Jack and Sophie-Ann approve of this thread!

Such a shame that Tolly's sick, though, right when he's enjoying his new playmate - but how sweet that little Eva is already so attached to him, and so concerned! Something tells me that Tolly and The Queen are going to be especially close!

So he's one of those cats who trill as they play?

Flambe does that, and he can't figure out why he can't sneak up on anyone.

YES! Tolly can't do anything without telling us all about it.

Aren't they just? Tolly was feeling poorly enough yesterday that he did not want any more of her ministrations, so she turned to Mazy cat for Games, and since then she and Mazy have been thundering through the house playing Chase Me Chase You at any oppourtunity.

I really do. Tolly is a cuddler and he misses that, with Ootay gone. Mazy gets more and more willing to sleep in a pile with him in the cold months, but still none of that heart shaped face to face cuddling. I think he will have that with Queen Eva. I think he knows Ootay sent her to us.

I love hearing kitty cussing! Our gang does that from time to time. They backtalk (or backmeow?), too. If we tell them "no" about something, they'll walk away, muttering to themselves. And then we say, "No backtalk! And stop kitty-cussing!"

Eva is fitting in with the rest of the gang.
