Bea - The Final Chapter

Thread Starter
Bea has gone over the Rainbow Bridge, succumbing to renal failure.

I'm still trying to come to grips with this. I realize it's been almost 2 years since she was adopted (about 2.5 years since diagnosis), but her renal failure was caught so early & was in the beginning stages I expected her to have more time than she did. Once again, I regret adopting her out & not keeping her here to live out her final years.

(For those not familiar with her story, here is a link to a thread about her.)

Play happily over the Rainbow Bridge, my "Bea"utiful girl.

Natalie I am so so sorry... I had hoped it was a different cat..

Oh no, no Bea!!! That's so unfair! Nat, don't regret finding her a home...you moved heaven and earth to give that girl something she never had before...a place to call home. Most people would have passed her by, or worse, have her put down. But you didn't. You gave her years she never would have had.

Bless her heart, she's not in pain anymore, and her little feet are whole and pain free again! Play happily at the bridge Bea!

She had such a raw deal in life, but you are the one who made it possible for her to live out her remaining time with people who love her.

Rest in peace, beautiful girl. You will forever be a part of us.

Natalie I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. But you did everything in your power (more then any one else would have done) for Bea. You gave her love and hope and you got her a good home.

Its not your fault - and you should not blame yourself for not keeping her. You know we all were with you thru the whole thing. She's happy now, at peace playing on the fields and climbing trees - she has everything she was born with and a perfect body.

She'll meet up with you one day.

I will say a prayer for sweet Bea tonight. I know she will be with all our little friends at the Bridge.

What a beautiful girl she was, and is, just over where we can't see....for now.

God bless.

Rest in Peace, Bea. Nat, you gave her a chance that no one else would ever had had the patience to do.

Everyone else has said very eloquently what I would say too.... You saved her and made her last two years of life possible and as happy/content as she could be.

My heart aches for Bea, and for you.

Without you and your untiring efforts, Bea wouldn't have had that time in a home with people who loved her. You have no reason to reproach yourself, because you certainly did right by her, Natalie. It's so sad that her time there was cut short. RIP, Bea. You touched so many hearts, and won't be forgotten.

I remember her story so well. What a shame she didn't have longer to enjoy the life you gave to her. But at least she had a life and lived her final time in comfort in her new home.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry. You did so much for her - I was just thinking about her the other day, wondering how she was doing. She had people in her life loving her and caring for her, so she knew comfort for awhile.

I am so sorry to hear this, but please dont feel guilty about adopting her out - you did it for her, and it was a good home, she was lucky to have had such a fantastic person looking out for her, after such a poor start, but 2.5 years after a CRF diagnosis is really good, and testament to how happy she was in her new home. RIP little one, you are finally free.
